Hello, I'm A Proud Remixer!!!

#30 - LOS ANGELES
BLUE MILITARY HOODIE - Forever 21
OLIVE DRESS - Gap
JUTE & RAFFIA STRETCH BELT - Forever 21
DENIM FLATS - Mossimo

Today I was watching the 3-year old boy of one of my friends.  We'll call him Overalls.  The kiddos were all busy playing outside when Overalls kindly let me know that he needed to use the potty.  I quickly obliged (since usually when they let you know it means NOW).  Since he's a boy and I have two little girls, I asked if he sits or stands and he informed me he sits.

So I put Overalls on the toilet then thought, hmm...this isn't going to work.  Everything's gonna get everywhere.  Do I hold it down?  Do I sit him forward?  Backward?  I'm so clueless when it comes to boys.  By now poor Overalls had to go pretty bad.  So I figured I'd wing it.  Well, it did get everywhere (and I was at another girlfriend's house!).  And to try and keep from making a bigger mess I quickly closed his legs shut.  I'm sure he thought I was nuts!  Afterwards I cleaned everything up, made him wash his hands and sent him off to play.  Phew!

Anywho, today is the last day of my 30 DAY REMIX.  I can't believe it!  I have completed the task (and can now download that really cool button from Kendi's blog that says "I'm a Proud Remixer")!  I didn't think about what to wear too much, just threw it on.  But I did want to make sure I wore this cute belt Fierce bought me (she surprised me after I told her I really liked her belt).

Tomorrow will be a new day.  I'm not even sure what I'll wear but I'm excited!  Ooohhh, the possibilities!  I'm still not allowed to shop though.  But hey, what's 10 more days when I've already gone over 30?  If I can do a 30 day remix and I can help a little boy pee on the potty, then I can do anything (okay, not anything, but at least not shop for 10 more days!).

Hooray! You did it! I definitely admire your remixing abilities! That belt is freaking amazing, oh my goodness, the color combination reminds me of the sunsets we get out here in Arizona... beautiful!

lol. Poor Claire, and poor Overalls - I'm glad you two finally got it worked out, but that sounded traumatizing for you both.

Love this outfit and that belt is fabulous!

haha I had to teach my son to push it down! and I'm also glad I'm not the only one with my kid running around in my pics, I usually have to take another cuz he covers my feet/legs in the picture! You are one stylish mama!

Hahaha I was the same way when I had my little girl! Clueless as to how to clean up "girl parts" in a dirty diaper. lol

I have loved all of your outfits!!

I knew what was coming the minute I read 'boy' and 'potty'. It has happenned to so many of my family members. It took my son months and months to actually hold it down himself. We would have to hold it down for him and what a family member refused it would go everwhere and he would say 'I told you to hold it down'. It was hilariuos.
But it could have been worse. Sometimes you let them do it standing but they also have #2 and you can just imagine how that goes!

So happy you are done with the remix. That is quite an accomplishment.

Oh my goodness, I was the exact same way when I started potty training my little boy. I swear I had to clean the bathroom in it's entirety (including the ceiling) after every potty break. But we finally got it mastered. Now Jace has decided that he wants to stand up like daddy, so we are back to square one - trying to teach him to aim when he shoots. Ugh. I've heard that you are supposed to throw fruit loops in the toilet to help them aim. We might be trying that.

Congrats on finishing the remix.

LOL omg that poor boy - I would probably have been worse in that situation though, I'm terrible with children. Loving the outfit darling x

Congrats, remixer!( bet it's going to take longer to dress now.) No shopping for 10 more days!!! aargh! Never been asked to help a boy pee..thought they just had to lean forward. Got an idea. How about creating a shield out of a round gal plastic bottle with a handle, cutting bottom half off at an angle and wrapping cut edge with tape..or do you think that would make all the pee go on the floor?

Hahahahahahahaha! And that is why I hope #2 (whenever we get around to it) is a girl, too. After two younger sisters and a daughter, I would have NO idea how to handle a little boy!

And congratulations on finishing the remix! Thank goodness Easter is almost here...I'm so excited about shopping again, I'm considering live-blogging the whole experience :)
