Printed Skinny Jeans and a Fancy Baby

"Introducing... Fancy Baby!"
Princess Sparkles said as she paraded Bucket around in a doll stroller.
She decorated it in jewelry and girly hair accessories.
She called it Bucket's carriage.
He even had his own entourage, Court Jester Pigtails!

PRINTED JEANS - Hot Kiss (via Marshalls), $20
BLACK VEST - CaBi (hand-me-down)
WHITE T-SHIRT - Target, $5
RAFFIA CROC HEELS - Thrifted

Monday's Inspiration - Olivia Palermo

Today's "Inspiration Monday" from Two Birds is Olivia Palmero in a blazer and some bright skinnies.  I decided to try out these bright printed jeans I got from Marshalls.  Since it was too hot to wear a blazer I wore a vest I got as a hand-me-down from my friend, Fierce.  The heels were thrifted by my mom, Fair Isle.  I love them.  They're raffia with blue crocodile toes!

I think my new obsession is going to be printed skinny jeans.  I can already tell.  I love how fun they are (plus I can wear them with my other obsession, cut up t-shirts!).  They make me feel so fancy!

Bubble Dress and TV Test

"If you get a TV and break it, then you have to get a TV test,"
Princess Sparkles told her friend Twirly Whirly.
Remember when Pigtails took a plastic golf club to the TV?  (if not, see here)
We finally gave in and got a new one.
(it was more of a punishment to me than to them to not have one)
And it just so happened to correlate with the day the girls got their TB tests.
Maybe that "shot" will teach them not to do naughty things.

BUBBLE DRESS - Lush via [oomph.]
CORAL EARRINGS - $.99 Store
CAGE HEELS - Vince Camuto (thrifted), $9

This is a bubble dress I bought from [oomph.], one of my very fashionable blog friends.  I saw her wearing it on her blog and decided to get my own from her online store for only $10!  If you haven't seen her store you definitely have to check it out!  The Vince Camuto cage shoes I thrifted new from GW and the earrings I got at the $.99 store.

I really love a bubble dress because it's great for hiding any bodily flaws that might occur as a result of having children.   I also love finding new little online boutiques, like [oomph.]. Though I'll admit it opens the door for being naughty and shopping for things I probably don't need.  Maybe I need a "no shopping" shot!

Patterned Denim Jacket and a Poopy Day

"Watch out for dog poop,"
I told Pigtails after we dropped Princess Sparkles at school.
She nodded and walked along the stroller.
Then as I loaded her into the car, I smelled it.
Pigtails had missed the dry piece of poop I pointed out only to step in a wet one.
It was all over her pants, her socks and her shoes.
I threw away her shoes and put on the only pair of pants in my car... Bucket's.
After I cleaned her up she pointed to the grass and said,
"It's a poop land."  Tell me about it.

MULLET SKIRT, TANK - Alternative Apparel, $10 and $5 (via Karmaloop)
PATTERNED DENIM JACKET - Forever 21, $22.50
GRAY WEDGE BOOTIES - Jeffrey Campbell

Monday's Inspiration - Eva Mendes

This week's "Inspiration Monday" from Two Birds is Eva Mendes in a skirt and t-shirt.  My kind of outfit!  I got this Alternative Apparel skirt on clearance (with a $10 off coupon) at Miss KL (Karmaloop's women's site) for $10.  The denim jacket I had been eyeing at F21 and when there was free shipping I ordered it.  I know I've been wearing my Jeffrey Campbell's almost every day but I just love them!

Pigtails poses near the "poop land"

"Yay, I can fit into Bucket's pants and they even match!"

My obsession with t-shirts has now carried over into my skirts.  I love a comfy "t-shirt" skirt.   It's almost as snuggly as wearing a pair of "culottes" that belong to your baby brother!!!

JCs, Stripes, a Princess and Her Sister

"This is a play about a beautiful princess and her crazy sister,"
Princess Sparkles said dramatically.
"I am sleeping beauty."
Of course she is.  And guess who the "crazy sister" was.
I laughed and pulled out my phone to video them.
Princess Sparkles announced...
"Everyone please put away your cell phones."  Oops.

STRIPED TANK DRESS - Alternative Apparel, $15 (via Loehmanns)
BLACK CARDIGAN - Motherhood Maternity
WEDGE BOOTIES - Jeffrey Campbell

I got this Alternative Apparel dress last week when my sister, Polka Dots, was visiting.  We went to Loehmanns and I grabbed it off the clearance rack.  The booties are my favorite Jeffrey Campbell ones from Urban Outfitters.

Princess Hair, Dog Leash, Cute Hair Decoration, Beard

Jeffrey Campbell shoes are too much fun.  They're tall, edgy and unique.  They're also comfortable and go with everything.  Maybe it's because they're a little bit princess and a little bit "crazy sister!"

Harem Pants, Kindergarten, an Avocado and Hair

It's been a momentous week...
Sparkles turned 5, had a rainbow mermaid party and started kindergarten.
Bucket ate his first real food (an avocado!).
And Pigtails got her first haircut
(unless you count the gummy bear incident)
... from Princess Sparkles.
"But she asked me to do it!"  Sigh.

FLORAL HAREM PANTS - H&M, $10
PURPLE TEE - Target, $5
MULTI-COLOR WEDGES - Target, $8

I was so thrilled when I saw these harem pants in the little girl section at H&M while shopping for Princess Sparkles.  Every once in a while I wish I was taller.  This time was not the case.  I was so excited to see these in a kids 14 and quickly snatched them up in 2 designs.  The shoes were on clearance at Target.  I saw them at the beginning of the season but decided to be "good" and not get them.  I couldn't help myself at $8.

Bucket takes a bite of avocado.  Yum!

Rainbow nails!

Pigtails holds her "pigtails"

These harem pants gave me a chance to try something new without breaking the bank.  They're much more comfy and versatile then I thought they'd be.  And the wedges are awesome because they give me height and a bit of confidence.  And when lots of changes are going on, I need that.  Kinda like how I feel after I get my hair cut (though not from my sister).
