Floral Dress and White Denim - Everybody Everywear

FLORAL DRESS - Forever 21
WHITE DENIM JACKET - Bill Blass (Thrifted)
GREEN WEDGES - Seychelles
GREEN CLUTCH - Heavenly Treasures
BELT - Forever 21
EARRINGS - Amrita Singh

Today while Princess Sparkles was at preschool, I emerged from a shower to find Pigtails sprawled out on her sister's bed playing with her "special" dolls.  She was having the best time ever.  I do my best to make Princess Sparkles share with her baby sister (and vice versa), but it's definitely a daily challenge.  But without Sparkles around, Pigtails had a free for all and played independently (which gave me some time to actually relax while getting dressed).

I gotta say, I really love Everybody Everywear because not only do you get some fabulous fashion inspiration but you get to participate in something fun with other bloggers.  Also, it made getting dressed today a lot easier since I only have a handful of florals to choose from (and Pigtails was occupied).  I decided to go with my Forever 21 floral "dress" (if you're 5'2 and under OR tunic if you're taller than that) and wear it with the awesome cropped white denim jacket I thrifted with my mom, Fair Isle, last week.  I even wore some floral earrings and threw in a floral purse for good measure (okay, suddenly I'm thinking I may have taken this floral thing too far...oh well).

Anyway, I was about to take pictures in my front yard when I saw my neighbor.  I waved then immediately made my way to the backyard.  I wasn't feeling like striking a pose and having my neighbor think I'm some ego-maniac who likes to take pictures of myself.  It's hard enough getting a good photo, let alone having somebody watching you (I'm still traumatized from when Polka Dots used to snap photos and laugh at me!).  Whether it's sprawling out on someone else's bed and playing with their stuff or striking poses in various outfits, I think there are some things that are better to do when no one else is around.

Ooooh, the white denim is so spring like! You look beautiful. I'm not even five feet but the F21 dresses are still short on me!

nice floral dress with matching wedges! I bought the same floral purse for a friend's birthday. You made me smile when you mentioned people watching when you are taking pictures, I have the same experience, my neighbors probably think I am nuts, and my son complains that it's so embarrassing! Ha!

I love striking poses in front of people and having them think I am an egomaniac psycho. It's super fun, and it keeps them away from me because they think I am insane.

Very cute outfit! My 14-year-old would be all over it. I couldn't possibly wear it with my ugly knees, but you pull it off very well.

Ha! And that's why all of my pictures are taken inside my house...I'm a big chicken who doesn't want the neighbors to catch on :)

Love the pretty detailing on those wedges!

hahah yeah totally right - some things are definitely done with no one else around. I have to say, I still get a bit shy when taking photos in public. Although, I have adopted a trick for when strangers do stumble into the middle of my photo sessions....I just stare at them until THEY are the ones who feel uncomfortable. hahah. Mean, perhaps, but it helps me get my thing done! Luckily it doesn't happen too often!

What a pretty floral look--especially with the green wedges! I get embarrassed when people see me taking pictures too, which is why I rarely venture out in public.

You have just the right amount of flowers. I love the denim jacket and those green wedges.

Taking pictures in public makes me feel weird sometimes too especially if it's a stranger.
