Animal Print Top and Midi Skirt

ANIMAL PRINT TOP - Bella D (TJ Maxx)
BLACK SILK ORGANZA MIDI SKIRT - Studio M (Thrifted)
RAFFIA BELT - Forever 21
GOLD WEDGES - Charles David
CUFF and WOODEN BRACELET - Heavenly Treasures
My husband, Camouflage, loves his beer.  He's actually being very sweet to me tonight by skipping his beer club meeting to watch the girls because I'm going out for my girlfriend's birthday.  But not only does Camo drink beer, he actually makes it.  It's like a science, he has to measure everything out and make sure the temperature is just right.  Then he let's it sit and ferment for a month or so.  Depending on the temperature and the amount of sugar/yeast, it will either be delicious or...not so delicious.

Camo keeps his brewing beer warm
Today is "Thursdays are for Thrifters" via Spunky Chateau.  I decided to wear my thrifted silk organza midi skirt (c/o Fair Isle - Thanks, Mom!) and pair it with animal print, since it's been a week since I've worn anything jungle.  I love animal print because it's a neutral and matches everything (in fact, I think I'll try it next with some bright colored jeans!).

Anyway, wanted to thank all my blog friends for their lovely comments.  It's so much fun to read and helps me decide what to wear.  Seriously, if it weren't for you guys, I'd be wearing sweats and wife beaters (okay, maybe not, but it's nice to know someone is seeing my outfits!).

Camo has his beer making and I have my blog.  We're so lucky to have these hobbies.  And while there aren't too many similarities between the two, they both are a little scientific.  Because just like he has to put the right amount of ingredients at just the right temperature, I have to match the right colors, textures, patterns and pair them with just the right accessories.  See?  Science.

It took me awhile to realize that animal print can be used as a neutral not just a feature. Loving the belt with this outfit and the gold shoes. You are always stylish.

That's such a great thrifted skirt - and the top you've paired it with is brilliant!

whoa, I am in the mood for a midi skirt now! I love it, it almost has a petticoat vibe... it's very sexy yet still modest, I am definitely going to be copying this just as soon as I can find a good one!

That skirt is pretty, and the beer wearing a shirt is hilarious.

definitely perfect match...both of you. And you can carry the animal print top very well, it's interesting you added a colorful belt, nice touch of color. I don't have any animal print clothes, I might look like a malnourished leopard.

If it is animal print, I am in love.
So I am in love with this outfit.
I was stalking "Jersey Shore" pictures because I have no life, and I saw that Snooki has a pair of sunglasses that actually have leopard-print printed on the glasses. I must find some like those.
I don't know why I thought that was relevant. But I did. And I'm not sorry.

I love how you're remixing this midi-length skirt--it makes it look so modern with the leopard print and gold wedges! And that's awesome your husband makes beer! My husband is a sports fanatic--watching sports is his hobby while I blog :)

Love your midi skirt! I want one + a maxi skirt--both on my list for summer. If I get more motivated, I'll try and snatch one of the Calypso ones
at Target, although I have a feeling that everything will be gone by the time I get there. Hope you have a wonderful weekend Claire!
