A Touch of the Southwest

#18 - AUSTIN
CHAMBRAY SHIRT - American Eagle
PLAID A-LINE SKIRT - CAbi
BELT - Maria's Fashion
DAISY STUD HEELED CLOGS - Forever 21

It's always so funny the things that keep Pigtails entertained.  Like unraveling the toilet paper so it sits in a pile next to the toilet.  Or pulling all the tissues out of the box.  And my favorite, grabbing the already folded laundry from the basket and dragging it to the other side of the house.  The truth is sometimes I could stop her, but then...I'm just so happy she's self entertained for those 10 minutes!  But beware of too long a silence because that definitely means TROUBLE :)

Today I found Pigtails in my closet digging through my drawers.  She emerged wearing some of the necklaces I got from my grandmother's collection.  It kinda made me laugh since usually it's Princess Sparkles who likes to accessorize with my stuff.  Pigtails was just so cute, I couldn't be mad.

I've been feeling a tad uninspired lately with my remix.  But today I got excited again.  Maybe it's because I found a skirt I hadn't worn yet!  Oops!!!  I decided it had been 4 days since I wore my chambray shirt so it'd be okay to wear it again :)  I felt cute as I picked up Princess Sparkles from preschool... until I tripped in these heels.  Oh well, only one person saw.

NAIL POLISHES
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Pacific Blue
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Lickety-Split Lime

I didn't accessorize with much.  Just a pair of earrings.  Oh, and my crazy bright nails (I saw in a magazine that it's "in" to paint one finger a different color...not sure I'm loving it though).  Maybe I need to take notes from Pigtails and accessorize with some bright colored necklaces.  Next time.

we both went with vaguely southwestern outfits today! I love the chambray with the skirt, it keeps it looking fresh and perfect for spring! Not to mention the colors are just to die for :) I hope you have a happy wonderful day in such a bright ensemble!

Little Pigtails is too cute. Love the outfit especially the plaid skirt. Funny, I just did the one nail a different color this week. I kept it in the same family of brown and a nude. I've been looking for a blue in that shade. Thanks for posting.

That is a really cute skirt! And I have to pace myself on my chambray shirt wearage as well. :) They're just so versatile!!

Thank you so much for the award. It's really fun to find other stylish mommies - what I wear normally gets me the "up down" at the grocery store. Having a blog and "meeting" people like you is what makes getting dressed fun again!

Can I just say how much I LOVE that skirt? I used to own a shirt very similar in college and I would really love to know where it went. I think I bought it in the boy's dept. Anyway, I've always loved madras, hoping it makes a big comeback.

p.s. I can't believe you went to high school with Katie! I love it! She is so sweet and how fun to have found your blog too!
