Brown Maxi Dress and a Trip to Hawaii

"I want water!"
Pigtails demanded as we lined up for the wedding ceremony.
I told her I would get it as soon as she went down the aisle.
Princess Sparkles began walking...alone.
"The flower girl is running away!"
Camouflage overheard a wedding guest say.
"That must be her mother."
Everyone turned to see me running across the grass after her.  Sigh.

BROWN MAXI DRESS - thrifted
PURPLE FRINGE HEELS - Steve Madden (thrifted)
LEATHER CUFF - made by my mom

This is the thrifted maxi dress I wore to the wedding.  It has a 70's vibe and allowed for me to eat as much as I wanted at the Hawaiian buffet.  Purple sweet potatoes, kahlua pork, mochiko chicken... YUM!!!

In the end the wedding went well.  The girls had fun at the reception.  Princess Sparkles danced a lot and Pigtails enjoyed sitting in between the bride and groom (yes, she asked the groom to move so she could squeeze in next to my cousin).

The trip to Hawaii was packed with fun... beautiful beaches, swimming pools, water slides, shave ice, sea turtles, pineapples, and family!  Of course nothing went as planned (i.e. the wedding ceremony), but in the end everything turned out just right.

LOL Aw kids. The kids at my wedding were very funny too--my niece, a flower girl, ended up putting her petal bucket on her head during the ceremony. LOL Kids will be kids! It's what makes it so fun! They both look adorable as does Bucket. And I love your gorgeous maxi dress!
