Utility Jacket, Black Blazer and a Night Owl

"You know I'm nocturnal,"
Princess Sparkles said as she got ready for bed.
I didn't know.  In fact, I didn't know she knew what nocturnal meant.
"I don't sleep at night.  I wake up.  And then I play."
No wonder she's so tired in the morning.

SUEDE SKIRT - Ann Taylor (thrifted)
TRIBAL PRINT TOP - Target (thrifted)
OLIVE UTILITY JACKET - Old Navy
CAGE HEELS - Kelsi Dagger
BLACK BRACELET - iSanctuary
TURQUOISE EARRINGS - Shop With A Mission

BLACK BLAZER - Kate Young for Target
BLACK TANK - Alternative Apparel
WASHED OUT DENIM SHORTS - Buffalo
CHEVRON NECKLACE - iSanctuary
HARROW BOOTIES - Rag & Bone

Here are a few outfits from the week.  The first I wore to Shabbat dinner at my friend's house.  The suede skirt and tribal print top are both thrifted and the Kelsi Dagger heels I found on clearance at Loehmanns for $11.  The second outfit I'm linking up to "Inspiration Monday" from Two Birds.  I paired some acid wash shorts with my Kate Young for Target blazer and Rag and Bone booties.

What happens when you don't sleep at night...

The great thing about a jacket, whether a casual utility one or a dressier black blazer, is it really pulls together an outfit.  It's also perfect for a cool summer evening, especially if you happen to be nocturnal.

I have been nocturnal too, during my university years for example but when you have to work from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m. then you just can't be nocturnal anymore :P by the way, I love both outfits. the first one because of the classy vibe and the second one because a combo of denim shorts and a fancy blazer is just brilliant.

I love this story so much - when kids surprise us with what they know - that's so much fun! Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday. xoxo

I have been looking for those Kate Young jackets at Target but I can never find them. Maybe I need to try online? And that Chevron necklace is amazing!

LOL I remember when my younger son was about two or three and told me his pants were discombobulated and I almost died. It reminds me of your daughter! I love your casual second outfit!

Oh, I loved your pictures, as usual! And your second outfit is my favorite, although the first one has amazing shoes! I love the stories you tell - I am also like your daughter, but I had no idea I was that way when I was her age - so she's so cute saying that! Thank you so much for your get well wishes! I am now much better and reading my favorite blogs again, and also posting "my" quotes! It's all my fault - I don't eat healthily and I have to change my habits! denisesplanet com
