Harem Pants, Kindergarten, an Avocado and Hair

It's been a momentous week...
Sparkles turned 5, had a rainbow mermaid party and started kindergarten.
Bucket ate his first real food (an avocado!).
And Pigtails got her first haircut
(unless you count the gummy bear incident)
... from Princess Sparkles.
"But she asked me to do it!"  Sigh.

FLORAL HAREM PANTS - H&M, $10
PURPLE TEE - Target, $5
MULTI-COLOR WEDGES - Target, $8

I was so thrilled when I saw these harem pants in the little girl section at H&M while shopping for Princess Sparkles.  Every once in a while I wish I was taller.  This time was not the case.  I was so excited to see these in a kids 14 and quickly snatched them up in 2 designs.  The shoes were on clearance at Target.  I saw them at the beginning of the season but decided to be "good" and not get them.  I couldn't help myself at $8.

Sparkles in her "first day at school" outfit

Sparkles' rainbow birthday cupcakes

Bucket takes a bite of avocado.  Yum!

Rainbow nails!

Pigtails holds her "pigtails"

These harem pants gave me a chance to try something new without breaking the bank.  They're much more comfy and versatile then I thought they'd be.  And the wedges are awesome because they give me height and a bit of confidence.  And when lots of changes are going on, I need that.  Kinda like how I feel after I get my hair cut (though not from my sister).

Hey, you have a ton of link buttons on this post. I will need to consider those. And... I love the names you have for your kids (online names, i trust?) Or great real names, too. No offense?

They were all very adventurous weren't they?

have a great evening!

children's sections can be pretty awesome from time to time (for adults like us, I mean :P) and I like your purple ensemble. those wedges make such a good find. too bad I can't wear anything like that here in Estonia. it's +9 degrees outside. sucks!

I didn't think I liked harem pants until I saw them on you- such fun and I can sometimes get away with shopping Gap kids :) Love the cupcakes and the pigtails in a ziplock- hilarious! Bucket eating avocados reminds me of "The Avocado Baby"- have you read it?
