A Sweatshirt, Skirt and a Gummy Bear

Pigtails had her first "haircut" recently.
She was running around when I felt something in her hair.
I thought it was a rubberband so I left it.
Later we were at a friend's house and she took a closer look.
We found an unexpected surprise...
A gummy bear matted in her hair.
And it had to be cut out.
I almost saved it for her baby book...

Monday's Inspiration - Gwyneth Paltrow

Monday's Inspiration from Two Birds is Gwyneth Paltrow in a sweatshirt, skirt and boots.  I was excited to put together this casual look, especially since I recently got this super soft Alternative Apparel sweatshirt from Anonymous LA.  I thought it'd be fun to dress up the sweatshirt with a big necklace I got from my friend, Fancy, in a clothing swap.  My legs aren't nearly as long as Gwyneth's so I went with my Jeffrey Campbells.

Pigtails gets her first "haircut"

I've always loved a soft comfy sweatshirt, though usually I wear it to workout or go to the park.  But there's something fun about wearing it with a skirt and boots.  It's just so unexpected!

Eek gummy in the hair! At least it'll grow out. :P

Great style inspiration! And you pulled it off, too. :)

Love the look of a sweater + skirt in general, but it is PERFECT on you! Haha, it makes you wonder how long that gummy bear was there!

So cute with a gummy bear in her hair!! You look great in the sweatshirt plus floral skirt combo, and your boots are awesomely good.

Oh no!!! My mom had to cut a train out of my hair when I was that age. Don't ask. Love the sweatshirt and pretty skirt!

Poor Pigtails. I have never heard of a kid getting a gummy bear stuck in their hair.

You look great, and I like the sweatshirt.

THat is so tragic. And Hilarious! When I was little my gum always went right into my hair. My mother got so frustrated. I haven't yet had problems with my kids and candy, knock on wood. And BTW, you look so great in that sweatshirt. What a great skirt!

Cute look! I can't believe she got gummy bears caught in her hair. I've heard of gum but never gummy bears.

Poor pigtails! This happened to my sister when she was about 7 and she got a glue-spreader caught in her bottom-length hair, and had to have it cut! She'd been growing it for years!
You look lovely and I love the way you glammed up the casual look with the smart necklace!

I love your take on Gwyneth's look, and your boots are fab!

You've nailed Gwyneth's look. Was Pigtails traumatized by the cut?

I think I would have been that kid with the gummy bear in my hair, how'd she take getting it cut out?

Love your interpretation on Gwyneth's look, the top is almost the exact shade as hers. Your Jeffrey Campbell's are so cool.

I love your sweatshirt, that's my favorite style with the little V stitching in the front. And the gummybear, I had to read your post just for the details--that's so something I would do. Hope you had a good weekend Claire!

What a wonderful look! And I remember getting gum stuck in my hair as a kid, but somehow my dad managed to get it out (not that I remember, lol). Hope you're doing well!

So pretty- I love the pattern and colours in the skirt and how the sweatshirt dresses it down for everyday wear. My sister once stuck gum in my hair- that wasn't a pleasant experience!

poor pigtails...good thing it was discovered. I love how you inject a pretty touch to the original boho outfit. Yours is pretty and edgy at the same time. Definitely more pulled together.
