Fair Isle Poncho and Hide-and-Seek

FAIR ISLE PONCHO - Romeo & Juliet Couture, $25 at TJ Maxx
BLACK MATERNITY CORDS - Motherhood Maternity, hand-me-down
BRONZE PURSE - B Makowsky, $8 (thrifted)
ORANGE PATENT HEELS - Vince Camuto, $8 (thrifted)

Monday's Inspiration - Olivia Munn

"Momma, count to ten then come and find me."  Princess Sparkles loves to play hide-and-seek.  It's one of her favorite games (besides dress-up, of course).  She almost always hides in the same place...under our bed.  Though sometimes I get busy doing stuff and forget to go find her.  Oops!

Princess Sparkles emerges from the pantry: "You found me!"

Today's "Inspiration Monday" from the sisters at Two Birds is Olivia Munn in a loose striped top.  I considered going with stripes then decided to go with "loose" so I could wear a poncho (one of my fall obsessions!).  I loved the fair isle pattern (another fall obsession!).  This poncho would be perfect with black leggings and brown riding boots, but I decided to stick with something closer to the inspiration and wore black "tuxedo" maternity cords and patent orange Vince Camuto heels I thrifted (new!) at Goodwill for $8!!!

I love a poncho.  You just throw it on over whatever you're wearing and voila, instant cuteness (and warmness!).  It's like the fashionable version of hide-and-seek!!!

I've totally forgotten to find my daughter playing hide and seek too! Don't worry about it! I love this poncho on you and ponchos in general. It would look great with leggings and riding boots!

You do look nice and cozy. Smart girls. The food pantry is an ideal
hiding place, esp. if you might be there awhile.

I love your warm, cozy take on the inspiration look. And that poncho is way cooler than Olivia's top, I love it!

Fantastic look- I love poncho's too. That Fair Isle design is one of my faves. I found a cardi the other day in Fair Isle print & didn't get it. I've kicked myself ever since.

Very cute poncho! I know they get a bad wrap (lol pun intended), but they're so darned warm. I actually thrifted one and can't wait to wear it again. I love the print on yours and the pop of the red shoe.

Oh and re Miz Mooz boots: they are pretty comfortable, and I've been happy with them so far. And apparently convinced/inspired Kasmira and Sheila Ephemera to get them (green and burgundy respectively).

I love the poncho look, especially the fringed ones which give a hint of what you have on underneath!

Unfortunately I doubt I can rock one as well as you do sweetie! You are a sight to behold. :)

I'm not as confident on my ability to wear a poncho, but I love me some Fair Isle. Even the name of the pattern is pretty. I haven't made rubbery scallops yet... hopefully I never do!

So very chic! The poncho is just a fab way to pull an outfit together, especially in all black. Just clean and crisp and so adorable too with your baby bump!

I like it that you took the stripe inspiration further with this pocho, very beautiful pattern. Your tummy look snug and warm under this pocho. I like the black manicure and oversized ring. The red heels peeping from under the black pants is lovely!

I have tried a couple of ponchos, but they always seem to swallow me! Maybe it's because of my tiny baby legs ... I have a long torso, so when a poncho/cape/jacket/etc. covers my entire top half, I look even shorter than I really am. I wish I could pull this off as well as you do!
