Asymmetric Maternity Dress, Black Leather Jacket and Leopard Heels

OLIVE DRESS - Gap Maternity
BLACK FAUX LEATHER JACKET - Loehmanns
NECKLACE - GS Lillian
LEOPARD HEELS - GoJane
COPPER GLITTER NAIL POLISH - Lippman Collection

For me, Halloween kicks off the holiday season, which means Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years is right around the corner (and this year, an upcoming baby!).  It also means I need to start my Christmas shopping.  I really enjoy shopping for others and figuring out the perfect gift for them.  I make lists and sometimes get obsessive, buying and returning a few things first before settling on one gift!  The bad thing about Christmas shopping... I always find things I "need."

Here's the outfit I wore Saturday night to a dinner for a friend's film.  I wore this Gap maternity dress I found on clearance for $8.  I loved that it was asymmetric.  I decided to pair it with the versatile leather jacket and my leopard heels (which I got some compliments on but also some "be careful pregnant lady" comments as well).  I also wore this amazing glitter nail polish that I won from a magazine!!!

How Princess Sparkles decorates my dresser

Anyway, the holidays are so fun with the kids.  Watching them light up when they see a house with lights or a tree with ornaments makes me happy.  And buying them presents is almost better than getting myself a pair of shoes!

The holidays really are a magical time for the kiddos, especially when they are little. Like you said, I have more fun shopping for the girls than myself!

That nail polish looks great with your outfit. Love the leather jacket :) Heather

I like the dress, and the glittery polish is really pretty.

I never understood why shaped hair elastics were so popular, but I see
Princess Sparkles has other uses
for them. Now when you're wrestling
to get their hair up, you know
where you can find some elastics.
Love the glittery polish and, of
course, those great leopard shoes!

I love your leopard heels! Meow. :) I got so many horrified "you're not supposed to wear heels" when I was pregnant that I asked my dr if it was true. She laughed and told me my body would let me know when it was time to switch to flats. Boy, was she right!

You look gorgeous!

I love that you said, "almost better" LOL. I'm right there with you. I enjoy buying for my kids so much, but buying a new pair of shoes I've been wanting is still pretty thrilling:-)
You look great. I love this dress and these heels are some of my favorites! When I first read your title I thought it said, "Maternity shoes", so I looked at the pic and then went back to read the title again. LOL
I think they're wonderful maternity shoes by the way!

You look so pretty in that dress! I love it with the leopard heels. Amazing how many people want to give you unwarranted advice when you're pregnant. I say wear heels while you're comfortable with it.

Everything looks cooler with a leather jackets. Wearing a leather, biker-style jacket with a dress is especially bad-ass. You are rocking that asymmetrical style!

I love that dress. You look like a movie star in that 2nd photo. The shoes are perfect as well.
I love the holiday season as well and yes everything is even more special with the kids. I am also very into xmas shopping especially if I can do it in advance so I take my time finding the right gifts instead of impulse shopping in a rush.
