Animal Print Fedora and a Day at the Beach

Last week Camouflage and I took the girls to the beach.
I know it's winter, but it was such a nice day.
The girls played in the sand, collected shells and ran down sand dunes.
Then we had a picnic and the seagulls came.
I tried to shoo them away and Camo threw a shoe.
Then Pigtails got up, walked over to the birds and said "no, Quackie, no!"
Maybe the gulls were insulted she called them ducks and they flew away...

OLIVE MILITARY JACKET - Nordstrom, $25
GRAY TANK - Motherhood Maternity, hand-me-down
MATERNITY JEANS - H&M, $10
NECKLACE, RING - Cynde Daniels
GRAY BOOTIES - Old Navy, $10
ANIMAL PRINT FEDORA - Albert Swanepoel for Target, $20
Monday's Inspiration - Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

I'm thankful for "Inspiration Monday" from Two Birds, so I didn't have to think too hard about what to wear today (though I'm excited to wear some new holiday sale purchases!).  I love these full panel H&M maternity jeans I found for $10 though they're starting to get a little snug now that I'm in my last month of pregnancy.  And of course, I love my animal print Albert Swanepoel for Target hat!

The Seagull Whisperer (in a Seagull shirt!)

Happy New Year!  I'm still in "holiday" mode and so glad I had the extra day to get myself together.  It was fun having everyone around.  The holidays were a nice break from the norm, kind of like a picnic at the beach in the middle of winter!

I love how you wore the leopard print in the hat instead of the scarf- very funky! I am insanely jealous that you spent a day at the beach in December-it is blizzard central here in Ottawa!

you always interpret inspirations so well. I like this Safari inspired look. The hat is so adorable. You look so great even at third trimester, I looked like a inflated balloon back then. Happy new year Claire! Looking forward to more fabulous outfits from you.

That's a great hat. And people may think I'm strange but I've been looking at maternity clothes lately. It's interesting to see how women handle the big bump of pregnancy. Happy New Year!

We live right outside of Chicago just a few miles from Lake Michigan. I remember one year when the boys were little it was 70 in feb. So off we went to the beach to collect rocks and have a mini picnic. Have to make those memories whenever you can.
Still looking smashing. Hope you are feeling well and getting enough rest.
My new trending link up is up and running.....maybe one of your quackie buds will fly you on over to join in

Love your take better than original. Beach is always good, esp
if there's food. There may be gulls
but at least no ants!
