Winter White and How NOT to Scare Your Child

WHITE BLAZER - Forever 21
GREEN TANK TOP - Gap
BLACK PANTS - Motherhood Maternity
GLADIATOR HEELS - Cynthia Vincent for Target
SILK SCARF - Missoni for Target

Monday's Inspiration - Kelly Ripa

"Boo!"  Pigtails exclaimed when she saw me wearing a facial mask in the bathroom.  At first I didn't realize what she was talking about and then I remembered how I jokingly said that to her the first time I was wearing some mask and she looked at me strangely.  She had seemed a tad frightened by my appearance ("Boo" is probably not the right thing to say when trying NOT to scare your 20-month old, but she found it amusing).  Later when I wiped off the mask she seemed relieved that it was indeed me.

"Boo!"
"Inspiration Monday" from Two Birds is Kelly Ripa.  I've been wanting to wear a white blazer in a fall appropriate way, so I paired it with a bright tank, black pants (something I find challenging to wear for some reason), a Missoni for Target scarf, and Cynthia Vincent for Target gladiator heels.

I love winter white but it's intimidating to me.  However, I've seen some magazines pics that have inspired me to try it.  I guess the only real scary thing about white (or "Boo" as Pigtails calls it) is the possibility of getting touched by little dirty hands!!!

First of all, I love Kelly Ripa. I think she is one of the greatest people of all time, even though I have never met her.
Second, your outfit is totally adorable.
Third, I love your children.
The end.

Love your scarf! I think you are brave to wear white with kids, I don't even trust myself with white most of the time, and all I have is a white tee! Actually I want to add in some white blouses, I've been looking for them.

Facial masks are kind of scary, but your outfit looks fantastic.

I totally understand your issues with the white jacket- I bought one a couple of years ago from Kaliko and it just didn't look right with anything so in the end I gave it to a friend. Yours however looks really nice!

I love how you styled your white blazer! It looks perfect for this time of year! I own pretty much nothing white as I'm so clumsy I could never keep it clean.

Yay someone else who wears white past Labour Day :) I love the lime green and the great colours in your scarf. Ooh you've reminded me- I have a face mask that's screaming my name! (I'll have to yell boo at my cats!) ;)

The bright green top and scarf go perfectly with the winter white.
How can you be intimidated by black pants and rock the brights like you do!
Take care of yourself!

I love white and it looks great, but the kids + white = disaster. Happy you could pull it off.

I always like your inspiration interpretations. You take the inspiration and made it your own. I love the white jacket with the colorful scarf and lime green top, it has a stunning effect. I like the continuity of the lime green from the top to the scarf. Very nice!

I don't know whose outfit I like better--yours with the pretty shade of green and gorgeous scarf, or Pigtails' with the pink + yellow boots! Both are adorable!

Love the color choices today. The scarf pulls it all together beautifully. I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds it hard to wear black pants. I can't see why people think they're such a staple!

Love that scarf on you- you look so chic! I have the same one! =)

While I am a HUGE fan of your look (and I'm loving the winter white), I'm going to be expecting you to be wearing rain boots and a tiara somewhere down the road, because that's a look I can get behind, right there :)
