Zebra Print Midi Skirt and a "Pet" Owner

ZEBRA PLEATED MIDI SKIRT - Venice Anonymous
BLACK TANK TOP - Gap Maternity
CREAM CARDIGAN - Old Navy
RING - Jewelry Party
AFRICAN NECKLACE - Heavenly Treasures
ORANGE BOOTIES - GoJane

"I want a puppy so I can be a pet owner," Princess Sparkles announced at the breakfast table.  Her grandma, Fair Isle, then asked what being a pet owner entailed and Sparkles listed a few things: feeding, bathing, brushing their hair.  Then Fair Isle asked if there was anything else and Princess Sparkles smiled and said, "you have to clean their poo poo."  When asked if she wanted to do that, Sparkles replied, "nooooo."  I guess for now, she'll have to be okay with her zsu zsu pet racoon, "Chum-Chum."

Princess Sparkles and her "pet"
Today I'm linking to Silverstyle's "Trending Through the Decades: Animal Print."  I was excited to wear the zebra midi my girlfriend Fierce gave me from Anonymous Venice.  I love this skirt because it's shiny and has pleats, which makes it extra fun!  For a little color I wore my GoJane orange booties and a statement necklace that actually comes from Africa thanks to Heavenly Treasures.

I'm obsessed with animal prints and any excuse to wear it makes me happy.  And since Princess Sparkles doesn't like cleaning poop, for now the only animals that will be living in our home will be the ones printed on my clothes!

The skirt is stunning, you always have a keen eye for really chic stuff. And the red shoes are totally unexpected but cute accent. Love your Asian inspired necklace, what a beautiful contrast against the black top. The white jacket is simple and sums up the whole look. Another great outfit Claire! Enjoy your weekend.

Poor Princess Sparkles, she reminds me of my daughter. Anika always wants pets BUT always wants someone else to care for them!!!

How cute are those red booties with graphic print skirt! So adorable. Also yes, the old "poop and whether you want to clean it" argument!

Love the shoes and that necklace!! And I totally agree leopard print will be the only thing close to an animal in my home for now. :)

That is a fab skirt - i love it with the red!

And no kid really wants to take care of a puppy, they just say they do.

Chic on the Cheap

What a cool play on proportions between the longer sweater, skirt and shoes! You should link this up for EBEW on Tuesday, since they are doing Animal Print this month.

Totally with Princess Sparkles, I can't own a pet yet because I don't want clean up duty!

Well, I have a ton of pets, so if you want to borrow a couple, I can send them your way. I'm getting pretty tired of cleaning up the poop, too :)
