Missoni for Target

Missoni for Target long hoodie cardigan

Missoni for Target chemise

Missoni for Target black and white sweater tank dress
Missoni for Target multi-colored cardigan, silk scarf and ballet flats

Missoni for Target beanie
This morning while eating breakfast (dry cereal, no milk...I know, but that's what they wanted!), I kept hearing Princess Sparkles and Pigtails giggling.  I came out of the kitchen to find the two girls making funny faces at each other.  Sparkles was making her cereal stick to her lips while Pigtails was using her spoon and shaking her head side to side.  They were making a HUGE mess (which is typical) but I figured I'd just vaccuum after and it was nice to see the sisters getting along so well.

Funny faces and the beginning of a mess
It's been a week since the Missoni craze.  On Friday I went to visit Fair Isle who had trekked to her Target early last Tuesday and picked me up some goodies (Thanks, mom!).  Here are some things she found me.  Unfortunately I can't keep all of them, and will most likely return the short cardigan (a slightly too big medium that looked kind of matronly on me...I know, I'm preggo, of course I look matronly!), the camisole (fit well and was soft but I'd rather keep a sweater dress), a romper (not pictured because I couldn't fit it over the belly) and the beanie (I just don't need it).  I also ordered stuff online, but it won't come for another month.  Sigh.  It feels slightly difficult returning such coveted pieces, but oh well, maybe I'll make someone else's day!

Anyway, in the words of Camouflage, "how many chevron patterns does one person need?"  (BTW I didn't actually realize chevron was a fashion/military term and thought it was just a gas station...you learn something new everyday!).  And now this Missoni (for Target) wearing momma must go and vaccuum up that mess I was talking about :)

That is so cute about the girls. Sometimes having fun makes messes! Giggling girls is just too sweet!

The black and white sweater tank dress is my favorite!

You are totally going to make someone's day! I love the Missoni for Target clothes and I feel like the quality and the price point were fair but the towels are fell apart on the first washing. I'm so mad!

My target actually had quite a few pieces left, of course...none that I was really in love with or were in my price range (that would be the stuff on the clearance rack). That skirt though...amazing. You've got to keep it!

Buy the time I wandered into my local Target, there wasn't much left on the racks at all so I'm afraid I didn't get in on the craze. It was sweet of your mom to hook you up though!

Dang girlfriend! Your mom really hooked it up! I think you are set now. Too bad you can't keep them all. I think the romper would be so cute! I also love the beanie and colorful dress! I love when my kiddos get along like that--it's totally worth the mess later. Hope you and baby are well.

I have the gloves, as I thought everything else looked drab on me (patterns on my curves tend to do that). But the patterns look great on you! Your kids even make messes look adorable. Take care!

You snagged a lot of cute things. I am especially jealous that you were able to get that hoodie cardigan.

This might totally shock you (or, not at all shock you, given our matching closets...), but I got the black and white dress, too. Also, if you keep looking better in your version of my clothes, pregnant, than I do, not pregnant, we're going to have to talk... ;)

It's funny because as much of it as I've seen, I've never really liked it BUT that long cardigan on you is too cute. Hmm..maybe it isn't as bad as I first thought LOL. It looks better on I think than it does in the pictures!

Looks like you found some great pieces from the Target collection! I wasn't sure how I felt about it after browsing through photos online. But it's nice seeing some of the garments in a more casual, realistic light. So colorful and unqiue! I heard they sold out so quick - good job on getting your hands on these picks!

You are too cute. I love the beanie on you. I think you should keep it. Great fashion show, I really enjoyed seeing all of the Missoni on someone rather than on the racks. I do agree about the cardigan but that black number is beautiful on you. Dawn Suitcase Vignettes xo

What an adorable picture- at least their silliness provokes laughter! Great Missoni pieces- I love the bright colours and patterns and I think they all look fab on you (much better than most maternity clothing!)

Looks like you got some great stuff! I think you're smart though to get rid of the things you don't want--there's no need to keep something if it won't work for you. And you're right, maybe you'll make someones day!

First, I can't believe you got so many pieces when all I hear are horror stories. Second, I can't believe I love these items on you because whenever I look at the models, I want to gag. That of course, is probably because they're overdoing it.

Whoa Claire your mom bought a lot of stuff from the Missoni line. I can't believe you have more coming and you must do another post to show the other items.

My favorite pieces are definitely the long hooded cardigan, chemise and tank dress. Is the head scarf Missoni too, because I like that as well. Now I'm regretting my lack of excitement for this line. :/
