"Stone nuts!"
Pigtails said as she pointed to something on the table.
Camouflage and I looked at each other, "what?"
"She wants those stones,"
Princess Sparkles said as she pointed to the scones sitting on the table.
Good thing someone (sorta) speaks "Pigtails."

Monday's Inspiration - Emma Watson |
This is the outfit I wore last week. I was excited to wear something "springy." Then it rained. And I ended up changing into jeans and a sweatshirt (ssshhhh). After seeing my blog friend Gracey mix patterns, I was inspired to wear gingham with floral. The shirt is from last year's Old Navy clearance, and the skirt is something I got from my friend, Gingham, during a clothing swap! I added the pink shoes because I love the color with navy.

Pattern mixing is like speaking a foreign language. Sometimes it feels a little unnatural. If only I had a "fashion translator" to guide me!

i feel sorta bad when i have to ask someone to decipher what their child said, because i don't understand them. hooray for your translator. ;) claire, i want that skirt! i also like the pink color with the navy. rock on pattern mixer warrior!
I like that you paired the pink shoes with the rest of the outfit. It adds that little extra. :)

Such a cute look.
I think every oldest child learns to translate "sibling" like that/ That gingham shirt is really cute.
I like the gingham with the print and Princess Sparkles one-legged pose!

And the pink shoes really make the outfit pop..
i think these patterns work great together, especially with the pop of those amazing pink shoes!
that is a great mix... i often do florals with stripes or polka dots
This is the 2nd gingham and floral look I've seen today... I love it!
Such a great spring skirt...love you you paired it with the gingham shirt with the fun ruffly detail. Jack sometimes has to translate what Alex is trying to say too...i always feel so bad!
Love the skirt! ;)
Really like the pink shoes too.
Sometimes I don't think I would be able to understand Beckett at all if I didn't have Violet around to translate...
:)
Good job with the clashes Claire! You look great! Love the pop of colour with the pink shoes!
You look so pretty as you always do! A lovely skirt! I made so little effort this week, it was like, "Er, shove a floral skirt on!!" and the annoying thing is that I had really suitable items SOMEWHERE in my house!!
Awe! It is always so precious to see both of you. The little one is working it out. :)Looking good!

I love the purple shoes - you're rockin' this outfit (and your girls are too cute!). Greetings from Atlanta. ;-)
I won't be suprised if Pigtails become your fashion translator in the future! The girl likes to pose just like her mommy! :)
Such fun print mixing!
Pattern mixing is fun, it just takes lots of practice. I think you did a great job though mixing two great prints together.
I always hate when an outfit comes together then the weather ruins it!
