An Outfit for the Park - Aqua Fedora, Red Tank, Animal Print Flats

RED TANK TOP - Target
BLACK JERSEY CARDIGAN - Old Navy
KHAKI MATERNITY SHORTS - Motherhood Maternity
AQUA STRAW FEDORA - Eugenia Kim for Target
ANIMAL PRINT FLATS - H&M

Today at the park Princess Sparkles informed me she was now Pigtails' mommy as she pushed her little sister in the stroller.  She also let Fancy's son, who liked to be called Elvis (I did not make this nickname up), know that he was the daddy.  Together their "family" strolled through the playground, under the play structure (tilting the stroller waaaay back and making me cringe), while Pigtails just enjoyed her ride.

Sparkles and her "family"
Here is the outfit I wore to the park.  I always find it difficult to dress up shorts and a tank top, so I threw on a bright colored fedora and left it at that.  I also traded in my usual heels/wedges (people tend to stare when they see me in my pregnant state and sky high shoes, especially at the park) for some animal print flats!

Although I love wearing high heels (they always make everything look longer and leaner!), there are some days, especially as a mom, that call for other kinds of footwear.  I have to admit, comfortable shoes are kind of like a joyride in the park for my feet!

Very cute! I love the turquoise color with red and khaki. Nothing wrong with a good pair of flats once in awhile. Especially while chasing around little ones.

You are lucky to live in an area where you don't get the rolled eye looks when you wear a hat!
I love them but don't have the guts to venture out of the house.
What a stylish carrying chick you are!

This is a perfect combo for a day at the park. By adding the fedora and leopard flats, you were probably the most stylish mom on the playground!

LOL I totally know what you mean! Whenever I wear anything other than flats at the park with my kiddos I get that "is this gurl serious???" look. I love your leopard flats--too cute! And that fedora is amazing.

You look styly as always. Love the color of your fedora! Now that's what I'd call a royal family. Like her mama, Sparkles is rockin' esp. like her striped legwear.

The fedora definitely adds a special touch to the basic tee and shorts look. you look polished and ready for mom duty at the same time! I love the red and teal combo, too!

Flats are necessary at a park. I realized that when I visited in my heels this weekend. It was hard to climb around and especially to swing when you have giant heels that get stuck in he grass, rocks, cracks, etc.
I love the fedora that you added!!! The color is like BAM. In yo' face.

While we were out for dinner tonight, Brigid started getting restless, and since we were basically alone on the patio of the restaurant where we were eating, Steve was letting her dance around on his feet. Which was adorable, until she wanted to try it on my feet. Which were sitting in the 5-inch heels I'd worn to work that day.

That was not as adorable :)

Love the hat!

So, this is so stupid of me but I just realized you are PREGNANT! Congratulations! How far are you?
This also explains why you 'looked' somewhat pregnant in your previous post!
I love the idea of a mint fedora. So cute. The animal print flats are perfect. They are practical but chic.

Girl, you did a great job making those shorts and tank super cute:-) I have that Eugenia Kim fedora, and seeing it on you makes me want to pull it out again!
I cannot blame you for not wearing heels to the park with the kids, but if you're comfortable in your heels/wedges at other times, then I say, let people stare...they are probably just wishing they could be so fab;-)

I'm loving all the accessories you choose for this look. Especially that hat and those leopard flats.

Sometimes your feet need a full day of joyrides..lol

Mint is such an unlikely color for a fedora. I love it! And your leopard print flats are adorable, I want a pair myself!
