Remixing a Summer Top for Fall

ABSTRACT TANK - Thrifted
SKINNY JEANS - H&M
BLACK CARDIGAN - Old Navy
BROWN WEDGE BOOTS - Steve Madden
BRACELET, EARRINGS, RING - Jewelry Party

HOW I WORE IT IN JUNE:
PINK CAPRIS - Hudson
PINK BELT - Thrifted
EARRINGS - Forever 21
T-STRAP SANDALS - Forever 21 (via TJ Maxx)
I really enjoy watching how Pigtails goes around and copies everything Princess Sparkles does.  Like just today Sparkles was eating her mac n cheese and decided to carry it over to a smaller table. Pigtails immediately grabbed her bowl, climbed down her chair and followed her sister.  She also loves to wear her sister's (dirty) socks (and sadly, mine too...again, dirty ones).  I even once found Pigtails wearing Princess Sparkles panties over her diaper.

Pigtails modeling my socks
Today's fashion challenge from Megan Mae Daily and Casual Chic Kiki is to remix a summer top for fall.  I chose a thrifted patterned top so I can also link up to "Thursdays are for Thrifters" over at Spunky Chateau!  I'm not sure if I'm cheating but I remixed the summer top for fall just by adding boots and a cardigan.  I also decided to wear some jewelry I just bought at a friend's party.  I promised Polka Dots I would show her what I bought, so what better way than to post them on my blog!

Anyway, I love getting inspiration from these fashion challenges and also from other bloggers.  It's a little like Pigtails and her inspiration, Princess Sparkles.  But don't worry, I won't be wearing anyone else's panties :)

Remixing a Summer Dress for the Fall

FLORAL DRESS - Old Navy
FAUX LEATHER JACKET - Loehmanns
CHAIN NECKLACE - Downtown LA Fashion District
GRAY WEDGE BOOTIES - Jeffrey Campbell

HOW I WORE IT IN APRIL:
DENIM VEST - American Eagle
LEATHER WRAP BRACELET - Made by my mom
PINK PEEP-TOE HEELS - Seychelles
Recently, my sister Polka Dots went out and when she came back Princess Sparkles asked her what she did.  Polka Dots told her she saw "The Help."  Sparkles asked if she too could see the movie with her Auntie but Polka Dots told her "probably not" since they said some bad words.  Princess Sparkles replied, "Like what?"  Then she whispered, "Did they say... I don't like Jesus?"

Today for the fashion challenge from Megan Mae Daily and Casual Chic Kiki, I'm remixing a summer dress for the fall.  I decided to wear my $6 floral dress from Old Navy and my favorite Jeffrey Campbell booties (or "skates" as Princess Sparkles calls them) which I actually think you can wear year-round!

Pigtails photobombs my pic
It's been a busy week with Polka Dots around and Princess Sparkles' birthday.  I have something cool I've been meaning to share with my blog friends though I think I'll wait until I finish the fashion challenge to tell everyone.  I also received a couple really cool awards from some blog friends and can't wait to post those too!

Anyway, I'm not especially loving the heat.  It was difficult to remix this dress for the fall in 90+ degree weather (luckily I snapped these photos earlier in the morning).  I hope it starts to cool off soon, otherwise I too might be saying some bad words :)

Remixing an Old Favorite - Olive Dress

OLIVE DRESS - Gap Outlet
WHITE DENIM JACKET - Bill Blass (thrifted)
EARRINGS, BELT - Forever 21
ORANGE BOOTIES - Go Jane

How I Wore The Olive Dress Back In March
GRAY MOTO JACKET - H&M
PLAID INFINITY SCARF - Made by my mom
BLACK LEGGINGS - Old Navy
OPEN TOE BOOTS - Charlotte Russe
It's "Remix Week," the fashion challenge put on by Megan Mae at "Megan Mae Daily" and Keely at "Casual Chic Kiki."  Today I decided to remix a simple olive dress that I actually wore during my first 30 Day Remix.  I paired it with a thrifted white denim jacket, a belt and my new orange boots (totally Jeffrey Campbell knock offs) from GoJane.com.  Oh, and I accessorized with a beautiful flower from Princess Sparkles.  She came home from a picnic and said, "Mommy I have a surprise for you.  Close your eyes."  And she handed me the beautiful sunflower.  It really made my day.

Today I'm recovering from a long weekend.  A really long weekend.  We spent Saturday cleaning up and prepping the house for Sparkles' birthday party.  I didn't go overboard like I have the last three years, since now I have two girls and I'm sure for Sparkles' 5th birthday I'm gonna have to do something big again!  I will definitely post pics from the party and of my homemade cake later this week, but for now I will leave you with some of my favorite birthday quotes from Princess Sparkles...

"We can have a celebration but I'm not going to be 4."
Aren't you supposed to wait until you're at least 30 before you decide you don't want to get older?

"Where's the pizza, cake and presents?  It's not my birthday."
On her real birthday 2 days before the party

"This rocket is so much fun!  Literally."
When playing with one of her favorite birthday gifts, a stomp rocket

"Today I'm a princess.  A real princess."
Before getting into her castle bouncer

Military and Florals - A Remix and A Winner

MILITARY JACKET - Old Navy
FLORAL DRESS - Tracy Feith for Target
PINK BELT - Thrifted
PINK WEDGES - Seychelles
How I Wore The Military Jacket in May:
RED SKINNY JEANS - Little Big
BLACK STRAPPY WEDGES - Colin Stuart
Yesterday we spent the day at the Santa Monica beach near the Annenberg Beach House.  It was so perfect for the girls.  You could park close, they had a cafe, a play area, a bathroom, a fountain and a pathway that went all the way out to the ocean!  The pathway was amazing because I could put the girls and all our stuff in the stroller and go all the way out to the water without getting stuck in the sand.

Pigtails enjoying the fountain
The girls had so much fun.  Princess Sparkles enjoyed collecting tiny little shells, while Pigtails ate tons of sandy food and loved putting her feet in the waves!  Another great part about this beach is after they enjoyed the beach and all it's sand, they could "rinse off" in the fountain.  The girls loved splashing around!

I was so inspired by last week's summer trends challenge from Megan Mae Daily and Casual Chic Kiki that I decided to do "military" and "feminine" again with my Old Navy jacket and Tracy Feith for Target floral dress I got on the clearance rack for $10.

Finding another Target designer dress on the clearance rack in my size was just about as cool as finding a pathway that leads all the way out to the beach (and it's probably just as rare too!).

Thakoon Tye Dye Skirt and Purple Tank - Inspiration Monday

SKIRT - Thakoon for Target (Thrifted)
PURPLE TANK - Banana Republic (Polka Dots' closet)
BLACK BELT - New York & Co
ZEBRA EARRINGS - Heavenly Treasures
CUFF - Heavenly Treasures
BLACK STUDDED HEELS - Forever 21 (via TJ Maxx)
MONDAY'S INSPIRATION:
Olivia Wilde
This past weekend my dad, Trousers, and I took Princess Sparkles with us to get our nails done.  I know, she's only 3-years old (I don't think I even got a manicure until I was in college!), but I thought it might be something fun for her to do with us and it would give Camouflage a little break.  We got there and she was really nervous.  I had her pick out her own nail polish and she of course chose... SPARKLES!!!  The woman was really sweet and gave her the full on treatment: nail filing, massage then nail polish.  Princess Sparkles was so excited!  She was swinging her legs and saying "I'm like a big girl!"

Today's Inspiration Monday from Two Birds is Olivia Wilde.  A quick funny thing about Olivia Wilde is I'd like to think I had a little something to do with her becoming famous (yeah right).  I was working for a TV producer way back when and he was doing a show that she was up for.  They were looking at a couple actresses and my boss turned to me and asked me which girl I thought was better for the part and I said Olivia was.  Anyway, she got the part and I'm sure I was the reason why.  You're welcome, Olivia!

Anyway, this outfit was very simple but fun.  I got to wear my thrifted Thakoon for Target skirt that I got 50% off at Goodwill!  I love it's print because it always adds that extra "sparkle" to everything I wear!

Happy Father's Day!

FLORAL ROMPER - Forever 21
WHITE BLAZER - Forever 21
BLUE PURSE - Linea Pelle for Target
MULTI-COLOR WEDGES - Cynthia Vincent for Target
FEATHER EARRINGS - Charlotte Russe
MULTI-COLOR BRACELET - H&M
The other day I was reading a book with Princess Sparkles about planets and I was talking about Venus.  She turned to me and said, "Mommy, penis is not a planet."  I tried not to laugh, but I couldn't help myself.  I looked over at Camouflage who just shook his head.  He was doing a much better job of holding in his laughter.

I'm really blessed to have some great fathers in my life.  There's my own loving and supportive dad, my helpful and encouraging stepdad (Henley) and my kind-hearted and thoughtful father-in-law.  I also really appreciate how much they love Princess Sparkles and Pigtails.

I'm also so lucky to have such a great husband and partner in Camouflage.  He always thinks of others before himself.  Yesterday he watched Princess Sparkles and Pigtails all day while I helped throw a baby shower and then he let my own father stay over night and hang out with us all Sunday.

Camo is the most wonderful husband and father there is.  Thank you for taking care of our family, loving us and knowing when NOT to laugh at inappropriate phrases!  I love you, Camo!  Happy Father's Day!

Abstract Top and Pink Capris - WIWW

#3 - "Pink Panther"
ABSTRACT TANK - Thrifted
PINK CAPRIS - Hudson
PINK BELT - Thrifted
EARRINGS - Forever 21
T-STRAP HEELS - Forever 21 (via TJ Maxx)
"Mommy, is that Jesus?"  I hear Princess Sparkles say as I'm getting off the freeway.  I look around wondering who or what she's talking about.  Then I see an older homeless man with a long beard standing off in the distance.  "You mean that man over there?"  Princess Sparkles nods.

Today I'm wearing a lot of pink.  In fact, I feel a little like Princess Sparkles, since that's her favorite color.  But although I'm wearing pink, I'm feeling a little blue since my sister, Polka Dots, is returning to Hawaii today.  Luckily Camouflage and I have a date tonight with another couple to see one of my good friends, Fedora, perform (she's an awesome musician!).

I always enjoy Polka Dots' visits.  We got in a lot of eating, thrifting, and quality time in.  We both got some really great deals at the thrift store (Polka Dots almost couldn't fit it all in her suitcase).  My fave was a Calypso for Target maxi dress that I got last week for $4 (but can't wear until I finish my remix).  Seriously, it was almost as cool as having a Jesus sighting!

High Waisted Shorts and Animal Print Top - Inspiration Monday

#1 - "Out of Africa"
ANIMAL PRINT TOP - Bella D (TJ Maxx)
HIGH WAISTED SHORTS - American Eagle Outfitters
WEDGE SANDALS - Payless Shoes

"Inspiration Monday" - Liv Tyler
Recently, I've been finding these little wadded up tissues around the house.  Usually Pigtails likes to pull all the tissues out of the box and just leave them there in a pile (and I hate wasting them so I shove them back in the box and make Camouflage and I use them!).  So I'm walking around the corner and see my sister, Polka Dots, laughing.  She tells me that Pigtails has learned how to "blow her nose" (which really means making the sound of blowing her nose because the tissues were dry).

Today's challenge was to find something that I could wear for "Inspiration Monday."  I went with some high waisted shorts, though didn't stick with Liv Tyler's nautical theme and wore jungle print (don't forget "Everybody Everywear" tomorrow!).

Anyway, I finally got to picking my 30 pieces for my "30 Day Remix" (if you don't know what that is, check out Kendi's description here).  I decided to name these outfits after movies (last time I did places).  I'm excited to stop shopping (not really, but I need to) and start appreciating my closet!  This is my second remix, and I've noticed I'm getting a little more bold.  Instead of picking solids that can be paired in all sorts of ways together, I've chosen lots of prints and crazy colors.  Hopefully I won't be sorry.

I'm excited about my remix (but of course it's only day 1, so let's just see what happens around day 10 or so).  I'll miss shopping but luckily the girls and I will be busy with summer time activities.  I'm hoping these 30 pieces can easily carry me through the next 30 days, otherwise I'm the one who's going to be blowing my nose into tissues!

2 Way Tuesday - Blue Pattern Skirt and Chambray Shirt

BLUE SKIRT - Kimchi Blue
CHAMBRAY SHIRT - American Eagle
BELT - Forever21
SHOES - Seychelles
CUFF - Made by my Mom
This is how I wore this skirt last month...
Princess Sparkles is really good at rewearing things from her closet.  In fact, she tends to have one favorite piece and she'll wear it almost everyday all day until I force her to take it off so I can at least wash it.  For a while it was her yellow princess dress.  Then a pink furry sweatshirt.  She's always obsessed with her red sparkle shoes, her crown, her headbands and necklaces.  Her current obsession is her gold tutu skirt.  I can't say I blame her.  It's pretty fabulous.
Anyway, I've been feeling like I don't rewear my clothes often enough on my blog.  I'd really like to start utilizing my closet to the fullest, because I actually do like my stuff!  I find that I appreciate my clothes most when I do a "3 Ways to Wear" post or during a "30 Day Remix."  So in order to start being better about rewearing my closet (and not buying new clothes), I've decided to do "2 Way Tuesdays" where I'll be remixing a piece that I've already posted about!

Today I chose my blue scarf patterned skirt.  I'm not sure why, I just felt like it.  Anyway, instead of wearing it with a cardigan and tank I chose a chambray shirt to change it up.  But I did keep with the pop of pink.  I like how it looks with blue!

I have to say, I can learn a lot from Sparkles about appreciating my closet.  I only wish I could wear my clothes out the way she does.  Hopefully this "2 Way Tuesday" will help.  And honestly, if I had a gold tutu skirt like hers, I'd probably wear it everyday too!

Hello, I'm A Proud Remixer!!!

#30 - LOS ANGELES
BLUE MILITARY HOODIE - Forever 21
OLIVE DRESS - Gap
JUTE & RAFFIA STRETCH BELT - Forever 21
DENIM FLATS - Mossimo

Today I was watching the 3-year old boy of one of my friends.  We'll call him Overalls.  The kiddos were all busy playing outside when Overalls kindly let me know that he needed to use the potty.  I quickly obliged (since usually when they let you know it means NOW).  Since he's a boy and I have two little girls, I asked if he sits or stands and he informed me he sits.

So I put Overalls on the toilet then thought, hmm...this isn't going to work.  Everything's gonna get everywhere.  Do I hold it down?  Do I sit him forward?  Backward?  I'm so clueless when it comes to boys.  By now poor Overalls had to go pretty bad.  So I figured I'd wing it.  Well, it did get everywhere (and I was at another girlfriend's house!).  And to try and keep from making a bigger mess I quickly closed his legs shut.  I'm sure he thought I was nuts!  Afterwards I cleaned everything up, made him wash his hands and sent him off to play.  Phew!

Jute & Raffia Stretch Belt
FOREVER 21
Anywho, today is the last day of my 30 DAY REMIX.  I can't believe it!  I have completed the task (and can now download that really cool button from Kendi's blog that says "I'm a Proud Remixer")!  I didn't think about what to wear too much, just threw it on.  But I did want to make sure I wore this cute belt Fierce bought me (she surprised me after I told her I really liked her belt).

Tomorrow will be a new day.  I'm not even sure what I'll wear but I'm excited!  Ooohhh, the possibilities!  I'm still not allowed to shop though.  But hey, what's 10 more days when I've already gone over 30?  If I can do a 30 day remix and I can help a little boy pee on the potty, then I can do anything (okay, not anything, but at least not shop for 10 more days!).

A "New" Appreciation

#29 - DUBAI
WHITE DRESS - Mossimo
WHITE SHIRT - Bizz
BROWN BELT - Forever 21
EARRINGS - Forever 21
DAISY STUD HEELED CLOGS - Forever 21
WATCH - DKNY
SUNGLASSES - Ralph Lauren
I love to bring out a "new" box of toys for the girls to play with.  It can keep them entertained for hours (okay, more like 15 minutes, but still!).  They seem to really enjoy the toys they already have as long as they haven't seen them in a while.  It's pretty great because you can just "hide" something they've gotten tired of and a few weeks later, VOILA, it's the greatest thing ever!

Pigtails plays with her "new" box of toys

Today has been a sleepy day.  I woke up tired and had to have a lunchtime coffee just to stay up for Princess Sparkles' ballet class.  There must be something in the air too because Princess Sparkles took a nap as well.  THIS NEVER HAPPENS!  She decided to give up her naps a few months ago and hasn't looked back (except for the occasional fall asleep in the car).

This is my second to last outfit of the remix.  I can't believe it!  I actually have made it through 29 days of only 30 items from my closet.  I thought it would be harder than this, but after a while I kinda got used to it.  Now if only my shopping fast was over because I really miss shopping.  But at least I get to dig into a closet full of "new" clothes.  Maybe I should do a remix more often so I'll have a greater appreciation of my wardrobe!

Vacation From My Vacation

Driving out to Palm Desert...
The funny thing about vacations is upon returning home I always feel like I need a vacation from my vacation.  It's not that it wasn't relaxing, it's just that I seemed to "do" a lot (which didn't really include naps).  And because I'm so used to waking up early (Thanks, Pigtails!) I can't seem to sleep in.

I really had a good time going out with the girls.  Fierce and Fedora are so much fun, although getting ready to go out was always quite the process.  Fierce (my most fashionable friend) brought an entire wardrobe of clothing.  She says she's never sure what she'll feel like wearing so she brings it all (just in case).  She usually changes about 5 times before going out.

Fedora (my singer ex-model friend), who decided to borrow clothes from Fierce (who's only 7 inches shorter than she is), debuted like 8 different outfits before deciding on what to wear.  First, it's difficult to convince Fedora the clothes actually fit (they do!).  Then it's difficult to convince her she looks good (she does!).  It didn't help that she only brought one pair of shoes (brown clogs) to go out in.  But eventually we'd get out (even if it meant eating a steak dinner at 10:30pm!).

And me?  I changed twice.  Normally I change more, but it's not so hard when you're on a 30 for 30 remix.  But I'll tell you what is hard.  NOT SHOPPING.  We went to the mall and I saw all sorts of fabulous shoes at Charlotte Russe.  I wanted them all.  But I settled for watching Fierce buy some (She wears the same size as I do!) and got some fluorescent yellow nail polish!

#27 - SEDONA
MADRAS SKIRT - CAbi
PURPLE TANK TOP - Bebe
BLACK CARDIGAN - Motherhood
BLACK STUD HEELED CLOGS - Forever 21
NECKLACE - my Grandmother's collection
WHITE WATCH - Sprout

#28 - PORTLAND
CHAMBRAY SHIRT - American Eagle
DENIM SHORTS - Forever 21
BLACK VEST - CAbi
OPEN TOE BOOTS - Charlotte Russe
FLOWER PIN - Made by my Mom

Overall it was a fantastic getaway.  But I did really miss Princess Sparkles, Pigtails and Camouflage.  I came home to lots of hugs and snuggles with the girls.  I also took a nap.  Camo set up our new king bed!  So now it's like a vacation in our own bedroom!  Guess I can have that vacation from my vacation after all.

p.s. if you get a chance will you please check out my guest post on After Nine to Five?  I'd really appreciate it.  It's a recipe post.

FREEDOM

#26 - PALM SPRINGS
GRAY MOTORCYCLE JACKET - H&M
STRIPED SHIRT - Forever 21
SKINNY JEANS - Yaso
DAISY STUD HEELED CLOGS - Forever 21
RED BELT - Thrifted
I don't get much time alone.  I always have someone with me in the car, in the kitchen while I'm cooking, at night in bed (my hubby Camouflage...but at least it's just the two of us...until the morning), even when I go to the bathroom.  Yes, my girls follow me everywhere.  It's like we're attached at the hip.  Literally.

I leave for a quick vacation with my girlfriends today.  I'm so excited!  We're going to do the things we never get to do... like go to a movie, read a book, eat dinner at a restaurant in peace (I know, these are simple pleasures, things I used to take for granted...but not anymore!).  I can't even wait!

(I'm sure by tomorrow though I'll be missing Princess Sparkles, Pigtails and Camouflage too!)

Gotta go and finish packing!  I know I wore the blue jeans 2x in a row, but I'm going on vacation!  They gotta come with me!  Have a great weekend!

Do as the Stars Do

#25 - ATLANTA
BLACK MILITARY JACKET - CAbi
WHITE RUFFLE SHIRT - Bizz
SKINNY JEANS - Yaso
BLACK MOTORCYCLE BOOTS - BCBGeneration
FEDORA - Eugenia Kim for Target

Recently, at the ripe old age of 13 months, Pigtails has decided to become a mommy.  And rather than have one little baby, she has decided to "do as the stars do," and have twins.  She carries these two little babies around, one in each arm, wherever she goes, in her bed, on the couch, even in her carseat (and she gets very upset when she has to momentarily let them go so I can strap her in!).  It's cute, except for the part where Princess Sparkles decides she wants one of those babies and grabs one from Pigtails in the car.  Sigh.

I can't believe that I'm nearly done with my 30 for 30 remix!  In the beginning it seemed pretty easy, then in the middle it got tough, and now as I'm reaching the final stretch I'm kinda bummed that it's going to be over.  I mean, what do I wear after I'm done?  I'll actually have to pick from my entire closet of clothes?!  I'm feeling overwhelmed...

Maybe I too will have to "do as the stars do" and hire a stylist.  Wouldn't that be nice?  Rachel Zoe comes over with a set of clothes and tells me, wear this, not that.  Only thing is I'd have no where to go... and I'd be paying someone else to do my clothing shopping, so I'd really have no where to go.  Nevermind.  My closet's beginning to not sound so overwhelming anymore...

The Versatile Blogger Award

#24 - SYDNEY
GREEN BUTTON UP SHIRT - Old Navy
PURPLE TANK - Bebe
BLACK PENCIL SKIRT - Jonathan Saunders for Target
BLACK STUD HEELED CLOGS - Forever 21
WHITE NECKLACES - my Grandmother's collection
WHITE WATCH - Sprout

JEANS - Yaso
DENIM BALLET FLATS - Mossimo

Thank you so much to my fashionable new blog friend, Burning Skies, for thinking of me for this award.  Burning Skies just moved her blog so check her out!  It's always nice to get recognized (and this is much better than the trophy I got as a kid for participating in a talent contest on our family cruise where EVERYONE else got that same trophy just for showing up).

To show my versatility, I decided I would change things up by telling you 7 random things that make me versatile:

1.  I'm short (5'2) so I can wear tunics as dresses and can always shorten jeans...though I hate when I end up with straight leg ones that used to be bell bottoms!

2.  I'm part of the "Good Eaters Club" (as my friend, Birkin, would call it... Birkin is in fact part of the "Bad Eaters Club"), so I don't really care where we go to dinner... though this can be a problem when I'm with another person who is equally as laid back and we end up debating on where to go for like an hour.

3. I wear a medium in most clothes so I can either squeeze myself into a small or put a belt over a large in case of an incredible deal on the clearance rack that I gotta have even if it doesn't quite fit right.

4. I'm a jack of many trades but master of none...so I can do a little bit of everything just okay (like sports...I can basically be on your team if you're not competitive and in desperate need of a female to fill your roster).

5. If I don't wear make-up (or stroll around with my kiddos) I can usually get carded when buying alcohol at the grocery store (of course this totally sucked when I was a teenager).

6. I'm a mom so that basically means I can multi-task and do any job that includes but is not limited to cook, housekeeper, launderer, driver, entertainer, personal assistant, party planner, motivator, accountant and nurse.

7. I can shop anyway, anywhere, anyhow (except when I'm on my shopping fast like right now...oh, and I'm a poet!).

And here is a list of some really cool bloggers that I've discovered and greatly enjoy.  I know you'll enjoy them too, so check 'em out!

Albee at Albee Lucky
Kimberly at City Style
Roxy Heart at Fash-uh-nee-stah
Courtney Erin at Sartorial Sidelines

Finally, in honor of the Versatile Blogger Award (thanks again Burning Skies!) I decided I would do two versions of the same general outfit.  The first one is another example of color blocking.  The second is a casual version of the same top half ('cuz my friend Shiny said she'd actually wear this one).

An Award, Some Yummies and 100 Followers!

#23 - BUENOS AIRES
NAVY ROSE TOP - Irene's Story
BLACK SKIRT - Jonathan Saunders for Target
NECKLACE - My grandmother's collection
CUFF - Made by my Mom
FLOWER BRACELET - Just Lovely Things
BOOTS - Charlotte Russe

Today my friend, Chambray, came to visit wearing a fabulous pink maxi dress with a denim jacket.  She proceeded to tell me how a man in the parking garage had asked her when her baby was due.  Chambray is NOT pregnant.  She said she was going to go home and burn her dress.

***NOTE:  NEVER ask a woman when she's due, even if she's 9 months preggo and it's super obvious, unless you KNOW FOR SURE that she is indeed pregnant.

Chambray also brought me some delicious baked goodies from the new company she started, SKINNY BATCHES.  Isn't that the best name ever?  And what's even better is her "Salted Janets," a brown sugar cookie sprinkled with salt.  DELICIOUS!!!  Oh, and her crumbies are to die for...and her oatmeal cookies...and I LOVE her gingerbread.  Yes I've had it all, and I love it all.  Good thing they're only 45 calories each!

SKINNY BATCHES - Oatmeal cookies, Salted Janets, Pear and Mocha Crumbies

Today was a really nice day for my blog.  Not only did I hit 100 FOLLOWERS but I received the VERSATILE BLOGGER AWARD from Burning Skies.  I feel so honored.  Thank you!  I really appreciate the blog world because everyone is so nice (which is not always how the real world is), and you can be connected to these people all the way across the world (or right down the street!).  Tomorrow I will write my 7 facts and pass along the award!

Anyway, here's the outfit of the day.  I thought I would attempt to change it up and wear something a little fancier.  I have to say I like this outfit because it's flattering (thanks to those nice dark colors!).  In fact, wearing it makes me feel like a skinny batch!
