Casual Friday - Yellow Shorts and a Neutral Button Up

BEIGE BUTTON UP SHIRT - Old Navy
YELLOW SHORTS - Necesary Objects

GREEN FEATHER EARRINGS - Charlotte Russe

Today Camouflage had the day off so we decided to take the girls to the aquarium.  Princess Sparkles was so excited to see all the fish, especially "Nemo" and the sea horses.  Pigtails too enjoyed herself.  She would press her face right up to the window (yuck, I know), smile and point.  She loved watching the fish swim around and really enjoyed snack time.

I know this outfit isn't fancy, but it was the most casual comfy pieces I had in my remix so I wore them to the aquarium.  I added green feather earrings just for fun.  Sorry, the pics are a little grainy because I took them with my phone.

I've been thinking that I might stop my 30 Day Remix.  I hate stopping something right in the middle, but my heart is really not in this remix and I'm not enjoying the creative process of it.  I think I just have a lot going on right now and this is making the remix really hard for me. I feel bad about it but maybe I can do it later.

It's been a long and wonderful day.  Camo and I even got to have a little movie date (thanks to my mom, Fair Isle, and stepdad, Henley) in the afternoon.  Sort of feel like one of those crazy little fish we saw in the aquarium swimming all over the place and now I'm really tired and ready for bed.  Goodnight!

    I like casual comfy but then again I am a mom like you. The colors work great. The mint green feather earrings are adorable.

    The neutral top allows the shorts to stand out even more. Feathered earrings are a fun addition~ Adorable ensemble for a day out with the family!

    You should tell Princess Sparkles you have a friend in Sydney whose met Nemo, he's alive and well in the Great Barrier Reef! I can send a picture if she asks for proof, lol

    If you're not enjoying the remix, I would say stop participating and don't feel bad about it. Last time I participated, I took it too seriously and didn't have fun. This time, I'm picking clothes I rarely wear, and I'm pushing my comfort level. I think your outfit is gorgeous, and I love the muted tones and the yellow shorts are such a great cut. As for the 30 for 30, maybe take one day off and jump back in, or try substituting some pieces you have not worn yet -- a somewhat fresh start.

    If you're not feeling the creative aspect of the remix then I think you should just stop and not feel bad about it - if you're not enjoying it then what's the point? Alternately, I really love this cute casual look on you, the shorts and sneakers are great.

    I like the yellow shorts. I think you look very cute for a day at the aquarium.

    I quit 30 for 30 the first time. I keep thinking I'll try again but I don't think my style lends itself very well to remixing. If you're not feeling it, don't feel bad about stopping - it's supposed to be fun, right?

    even though the outfit isn't "fancy," i really like it! cute shoes and earrings. i think you shouldn't worry about stopping the remix. you know you can do it since you did it last time. maybe just hold off until things get a little more settled. =)

    So obviously, I took the weekend off from the internet, since I'm just now catching up on emails/blog posts, but of course we came up with the same post title this week, even if it was the obvious choice :)

    I'm not entirely sure we aren't the same person, just on different coasts (and in my case, not really on a coast, but you know what I mean...)!

    And you do casual Friday amazingly well...I love those shoes especially.
