A Touch of the Southwest

#18 - AUSTIN
CHAMBRAY SHIRT - American Eagle
PLAID A-LINE SKIRT - CAbi
BELT - Maria's Fashion
DAISY STUD HEELED CLOGS - Forever 21

It's always so funny the things that keep Pigtails entertained.  Like unraveling the toilet paper so it sits in a pile next to the toilet.  Or pulling all the tissues out of the box.  And my favorite, grabbing the already folded laundry from the basket and dragging it to the other side of the house.  The truth is sometimes I could stop her, but then...I'm just so happy she's self entertained for those 10 minutes!  But beware of too long a silence because that definitely means TROUBLE :)

Today I found Pigtails in my closet digging through my drawers.  She emerged wearing some of the necklaces I got from my grandmother's collection.  It kinda made me laugh since usually it's Princess Sparkles who likes to accessorize with my stuff.  Pigtails was just so cute, I couldn't be mad.

I've been feeling a tad uninspired lately with my remix.  But today I got excited again.  Maybe it's because I found a skirt I hadn't worn yet!  Oops!!!  I decided it had been 4 days since I wore my chambray shirt so it'd be okay to wear it again :)  I felt cute as I picked up Princess Sparkles from preschool... until I tripped in these heels.  Oh well, only one person saw.

NAIL POLISHES
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Pacific Blue
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Lickety-Split Lime

I didn't accessorize with much.  Just a pair of earrings.  Oh, and my crazy bright nails (I saw in a magazine that it's "in" to paint one finger a different color...not sure I'm loving it though).  Maybe I need to take notes from Pigtails and accessorize with some bright colored necklaces.  Next time.

My Chocolate

#17 - VENICE
NAUTICAL STRIPED SHIRT - Forever 21
BLACK VEST - CAbi
SKINNY JEANS - Yaso
SUEDE HAT - Nordstrom
OPEN TOE BOOTS - Charlotte Russe
WHITE LEATHER CUFF - September Rose
WHITE WATCH - Sprout
TORQUOISE WOOD EARRINGS - Heavenly Treasures

Princess Sparkles LOVES anything chocolate.  Today I took her for frozen yogurt after school and she ordered chocolate with a topping of chocolate and a side of chocolate.  I'll ask her what kind of sandwich she wants and she'll tell me, "chocolate" (BTW, I don't make chocolate sandwiches, though I've considered buying Nutella).  I guess I can't really blame her because I like chocolate too, especially in baked goods.  Mmm...

Today's outfit was sort of thrown together.  It's my favorite nautical striped shirt, with jeans.  But to add a little something extra I thought I'd pair it with the vest and a hat for a pop of color.  I had to look back at my blog and make sure I didn't JUST wear the same shirt.  Thank goodness I take pictures!

I think if I could go back and pick my 30 pieces again I might've done less skirts and more pants/shorts (only for practicality).  It would've been nice to have a pair of black skinny jeans.  Or maybe I'm just saying that because I really REALLY miss the rest of my closet.

I do have my favorites in my 30, mainly my blue jeans, my black cardigan, my floral dress and my nautical striped shirt.  I seem to grab for them first as I'm getting dressed.  I guess you could call these pieces my "chocolate."

Stylish Blogger Award

Yesterday Jess at Avant-Garde Living told me she had given me the Stylish Blogger Award.  This was my first blog award and I was so excited.  Then this morning Albee Lucky gave me the same award!  I couldn't believe it!  2 people actually think I'm stylish!!!

First of all I want to thank these girls and give them props because they are super stylish themselves and it means a lot to have them think of me.   I REALLY appreciate it.  Check them out and you'll see what I mean.

I'd also like to thank my parents for clothing me when I was a kid, my hubby, Camouflage, for letting me have our walk-in closet, and Princess Sparkles and Pigtails for teaching me humility while still wearing heels and a dress.

#16 - DUBLIN

GREEN BUTTON UP SHIRT - Old Navy
BLACK CARDIGAN - Motherhood
CREAM KNEE HI SOCKS - Forever 21
DAISY STUD HEELED CLOGS - Forever 21

3. I don't like anyone lying on my pillow (not even Camouflage)

4. Almost all of my underwear comes from free coupons I get from VICTORIA'S SECRET (and most of the time I don't even buy anything else when I get it)

5. I do most of my grocery shopping at TARGET because I can also look at other stuff (aka "clothes") at the same time

6. Before we got married, I actually asked Camouflage out first because my girlfriend's mom said in passing he'd make a good husband (she was right).

7. I used to make my little sister, Polka Dots, dress up in wigs and costumes then tell my mom, Fair Isle, I made a new friend (Then I'd make Polka Dots perform in my play)

8. I wear sunglasses in all my fashion pictures for my blog because I'm lazy and don't want to put on make-up

Mixing It Up

#15 - HONG KONG
BLUE MILITARY JACKET - Forever 21
POLKA DOT SILK SKIRT - Forever 21
TIGHTS - Nordstrom
JADE NECKLACE - My grandmother's collection
BLACK MOTORCYCLE BOOTS - BCBGeneration
The thing I love about Princess Sparkles is she loves to create things.  Take for example this delicious carbonara pasta my stepdad, Henley, made all of us for lunch.  Princess Sparkles decided she could squirt some of her apple juice into it and make it even "tastier."  I look over and I see her pasta (and a couple cheetos from earlier) swimming in a pool of juice.  It looks disgusting!  But Sparkles is thrilled with her creation, even asking me to try it (I thank her for the offer and decline the dripping fork full of pasta).

Yesterday Princess Sparkles cracked me up when she came in wearing a bunting suit that was way too small with nothing underneath.  She said that she wanted to wear it to church.  I actually didn't mind, except I knew she would get hot.  But I made her put on some other clothes first, just in case, then somehow she was eager to change when I said she could wear her raincoat.

I decided I would try and mix up my clothes a bit by playing with colors.  I actually bought these two pieces at the same time from Forever 21 when they were on sale!  I love putting blue and purple together (and actually got the idea from the skirt, since it's waist band is actually the same color as the jacket so I figured it must match!).  I'm not great at color blocking/mixing, but it is fun to try to put things together.

I'm half way through my remix.  Yay!  But it's starting to get harder in a lot of ways because, well, I start to feel like I'm wearing the same pieces day after day and I worry that I might wear the same things two days in a row :)  Not that it's that big of a deal, but, you know, I'm trying to mix it up.  Kind of like eating carbonara pasta with apple juice (though hopefully, a little less weird than that!).

How to NOT Plan Your Life...

WHAT I WORE TO CHURCH TODAY:
#13 - NASHVILLE
CHAMBRAY BUTTON-UP SHIRT - American Eagle
BLACK PENCIL SKIRT - Jonathan Saunders for Target
BELT - Maria's Fashion
BLACK MOTORCYCLE BOOTS - BCBGeneration
Yesterday I participated on a panel for a Young Leader's Conference held by my church entitled, "God in the Workplace."  To be honest, I really didn't want to do it.  I felt like I had very little to offer... I mean, I don't even have a job!!!  And it's not like I had this super sucessful writing career.  (If you're wondering, I worked on a couple different TV shows, mostly as a Producer's Assistant, had gotten a Disney writing fellowship and had some momentum as a writer when I committed career suicide...I got pregnant!).

Anyway, I emailed the people who asked me to speak on the panel and told them I didn't think I was the right choice.  Then a friend called me and told me why they had chosen me.  She began to tell me how people were inspired by a short film I had written and how they appreciated my heart.  I was so moved by what she said.

WHAT I WORE TO THE PANEL:
#14 - AMSTERDAM
GRAY MOTO JACKET - H&M
OLIVE DRESS - The Gap
BLACK LEGGINGS - Old Navy
OPEN TOE BOOTS - Charlotte Russe
SCARF - Made by my Mom

My life hasn't exactly turned out the way I planned.  There have been times I've been terribly disappointed.  I've had to learn to be flexible and accept that a change in plans does not equal failure.  If I had things my way, I probably wouldn't have "planned" to be a mommy yet.  But I'm so glad I am (although sometimes I question when they wake me up at night, make a mess of things I just cleaned up and complain about the food I made :)

I ended up talking a lot at the panel.  I was surprised how much I did have to offer.  And at the end when people were asking questions, I was one of the people they addressed.  It felt good to share some of my experiences.  Hopefully someone got something useful from what I said.  And if not, hope I wasn't boring :)  Just glad I did it.  Everyone was so nice and I even got a way cool, totally unexpected gift...

Good Deal

#12 - SEOUL
NAVY ROSE TOP - Irene's Story
SKINNY JEANS - Yaso (similar)
CREAM ROSE BEANIE - Forever 21
POLKA DOT SOCKS - Target
DAISY STUD HEELED CLOGS - Forever 21
WOODEN BRACELET - Heavenly Treasures

Yesterday a friend told me about a spot in a free preK program at a nearby public school for the upcoming year.  I had already signed up Princess Sparkles at her current preschool and wasn't sure what the best choice was.  I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing it because it was free, you know, kind of like buying a dress that doesn't quite fit right because it's on clearance at Loehmanns from $250 to $10?  After much consideration, I decided it would be good for Princess Sparkles (though not so good for my schedule... but isn't that what parenting is all about?).

Tonight my in-laws are babysitting the girls so Camouflage and I can go out.  We're supposed to meet his co-workers to have ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT sushi.  The problem with these ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT meals is I always over eat.  And if I don't, I feel like I'm not really getting my money's worth.  Somehow they're always sort of a lose-lose situation. Nevertheless, I still do them because, well, they're a good deal.  And why pay the same price for less sushi?

I realized that I've worn everything in my collection of 30 pieces except for one top (the navy rose top!) so I figured I better wear it.  I debated whether to pair it with white jeans or blue jeans.  I decided to go with the blue jeans (only because they're looser, and I'm going to need all the room I can get for my ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT binge session). Since it's cold (and because I always LOVE the look when they do it on the mannequins at F21), I decided to wear my clog sandals with socks.

Anyway, I'm thinking they're going to have to roll me out of the restaurant, because let's face it, I have very little self control... Not only am I going to stuff as much as I can into this belly of mine (though may be sorry later when my clothes no longer fit comfortably) but I'm also that girl, the one who DOES buy the dress on the clearance rack because come on, it was $250 and now it's only $10!!!

Toddlers and Transitions

#11 - DURHAM
SWEATER - Ann Taylor Loft
PINK TANK TOP - Express
DENIM SHORTS - Forever 21
SEQUIN INFINITY SCARF - Charlotte Russe
KNEE-HIGH SOCKS - Nordstrom
BLACK MOTORCYCLE BOOTS - BCBGeneration

I finally made it to Princess Sparkles' "Mommy and Me" class today.  I'll admit I was over an hour late, but still, I made it!  I haven't gone in over a month.  But everytime I do go, I really enjoy myself.  It's just, the thought of chasing both kids around is exhausting, especially now that Pigtails can walk and is very curious about everything she shouldn't be into.  Pigtails is in this transition stage where she's no longer an infant but not quite a little girl yet.  I guess the technical term for that is a toddler :)

Because I was running around all day going to preschool, class, a playdate, a lunch date, etc. (no really, I did all that, even missed a play group because I was too tired at the end of the day!), I had to dress comfortably.  Lately, it really feels in between seasons.  Technically it's Spring but the cold rainy days feel like winter (then the hot sunny days feel like summer!).

This outfit is a tad schizophrenic.  The shorts and bright pink tank top are very spring, but the boots, knee-high socks and blingy sequin infinity scarf are winter-y.  This time of year is kind of like a toddler.  And I guess that makes this outfit a "transition" one!

Indoor Tornadoes

OUTFIT # 10 - SAN DIEGO
NAUTICAL DRESS - Forever 21
WHITE RUFFLE BUTTON UP SHIRT - Bizz
BELT - Forever 21
BOOTS - Charlotte Russe
HAIR BOW - Lap of Luxury (check out her Etsy shop here)

LAP OF LUXURY
Headband with Bow

#9 - LONDON
WHITE DRESS - Mossimo
BLACK CARDIGAN - Motherhood Maternity
BLACK BELT - Forever 21
BLACK PEEP TOE CLOGS - Forever 21 (now on sale!!!)
PLAID SCARF - Made by my Mom
KNITTED HAT - Made by my Mom
Today was a rainy day so we mostly stayed in the house... which meant Princess Sparkles and Pigtails went a little stir crazy... which meant they tore through everything like a tornado and left the hugest mess ever... which meant I told them to clean up, they did a little, but I ended up cleaning A LOT.  Sigh.

So because I basically went nowhere today (though I did hang out with my college friend, Silk, but we "exercised" by walking around the neighborhood so I wore sweats), I didn't get to wear my outfit out.  I still put it together and felt cute for an hour or so... and I did take this photo.  Thought it would be fun to layer the white ruffle shirt under my nautical dress!

Yesterday's outfit was the white dress.  I wore it to Shiny's house.  But she did make me cover it up with an apron because I was washing dishes and cooking a tomato pasta dish (luckily I didn't get any of it on me... yay me!).

Despite the wet weather outside (and the kiddy "tornadoes" inside), there's something special about rainy days like today.  They're not so common where we live, and because it's cold, we cuddle more, and for some reason I make exceptions and we get to watch TV together and eat cookies.  And since the weather calls for a few more days of the same, I'll have to do like I do with my clothes and "remix it" to keep the girls from getting too bored!

Mama's Got a Brand New Bag (of clothes I didn't buy)

The other day I found Pigtails trying on her sister's red sparkly shoes (Shhh, don't tell Princess Sparkles).  I thought it was funny since just a month ago she would SCREAM bloody murder when I'd put anything on her feet.  That included socks.  Which is SO NOT COOL when you're walking around the mall because older ladies WILL STOP YOU and tell you that your baby is cold (She's not, but thanks).

I really admire and appreciate my extremely fashionable friend, Fierce, for always "editing" her closet and allowing me to benefit.  She recently gave me a bag of clothes which included three pairs of jeans (including these great high waisted bell bottoms) and some adorable, comfy tops.  While this is great in terms of making me feel like I went "shopping" without really shopping, it does make it hard for the remix because I so want to wear my new clothes, but have to stick to my 30 pieces.  Here's what she gave me...

TORQUISE TOP - Banana Republic, RUST TOP - Zara, BROWN SWEATER - Twelfth Street

JEANS:  (L-R) J Brand, 7 for All Mankind, Paige Premium Denim

CARGO PANTS - Joie, OLIVE SHORTS - Lux Lux

I still have another month of my shopping fast and another 20+ days of remixing.  The first week of remixing was a breeze because I had all those pieces to work with, but as I'm going into week 2 I'm realizing I have my "favorite pieces" (usually the most comfortable ones which also seem to be the easiest to match with... like my striped shirt and my floral dress!  And don't worry, I'll post today's outfit along with tomorrow's).  I'm counting down the days until I can wear Fierce's cute clothes.  Like Pigtails with Princess Sparkles' red sparkly shoes... everything is always so much more exciting when it belongs to someone else!

Fancy Accessories

#8 - BOSTON
GRAY COTTON MOTORCYCLE JACKET - H&M
STRIPED NAVY/WHITE NAUTICAL SHIRT - Forever 21
FUSCHIA POLKA DOT SKIRT - Forever 21
MOTORCYCLE BOOTS - BCBGeneration
SCARF - gifted

Today I hung out with my good friend, FancyFancy is the best accessorizer I know. I mean, if that was actually a word, her picture would be right there next to it in the dictionary.  She's able to string together necklaces, bracelets and/or earrings (and sometimes all three together) so perfectly to highlight whatever it is she's wearing, which is always fabulous (even when she's 6 months preggo and in sweats!).  But what wouldn't look fabulous on a 10 foot tall Irish beauty?

This is the outfit I wore to church yesterday in the pouring rain.  I'm quite impressed at how many pieces my nautical shirt "matches" with.  I thought I would try mixing patterns (something I LOVE when other bloggers do).  Might be hard to tell but the skirt has polka dots on it.  It was an item I wasn't sure about but bought anyway because it was on sale (I know, one of those shopping no-no's).  And since it was on sale I couldn't return or exchange it.  So I decided I would force myself to put together outfits with it by adding it to my 30 pieces.

I must say that accessories are definitely a must with the Remix.  Thank goodness I'm not limited to a certain number.  I do think accessorizing is something I could work on, since I'm not particularly great at it (I should make Fancy give me lessons!).  And although I love boots, belts, scarves, hats, watches, bright nail and lip color, earrings and cocktail rings, I still think my greatest accessories are Princess Sparkles and Pigtails (especially when I match their outfits to mine -- haha...uh, I'm not joking).

Pretend City - Birthday Fun For the Kids & SmogShoppe - A Green Wedding

#6 - VANCOUVER
BLUE HOODED MILITARY JACKET -  Forever 21
PURPLE T-BACK TANK - Bebe
DISTRESSED SKINNY JEANS - Yaso
MOTORCYCLE BOOTS - BCBGeneration
WHITE WATCH - Sprout (exact)

Yesterday was a long day.  But a fun day.  It started off early with a party for the 2-year old of my best friend from childhood, Cardigan.  Cardi and I've been friends since preschool!  We went to Pretend City (the name that says it all).  Princess Sparkles and Pigtails were out of their minds as they "shopped" at the grocery store, played at "the beach," and went to the farm where they could "pick" fruit and plant "lettuce."  The long drive home was one of the best naps ever for the girls, and Camo and I finally got to listen to something other than "The Happy Birthday Song" from the Barney CD.

Then later in the evening we went to a wedding at the SmogShoppe.  The SmogShoppe is an indoor/outdoor, eco-friendly, former smog check center with vintage furniture and recycled sustainable features.  My girlfriend, Espadrille, was getting married.  And her wedding was so personal and sweet.  They wrote their own vows, we took photos for their guest book,  had tacos from a stand and "wedding pie" for dessert.

I also got to see another friend, Converse, whom I hadn't seen in a long time.  So it was fun catching up.  It was a challenge to work with my remix clothing to come up with a wedding outfit,  but after a few tries, I came up with something.

#7 - SANTA BARBARA

BLACK MILITARY BLAZER - CAbi
BLACK OPAQUE TIGHTS - Express
DAISY STUD HEELED CLOGS - Forever 21 (exact)
GREEN NECKLACE - My Grandma's collection

Hopefully I learned from last week and this upcoming week will be a tad less busy.  I also learned something from my kids... that I should be enthusiastic about everyday activities like grocery shopping, gardening, cooking, etc.  That way I'll thoroughly enjoy myself and maybe afterwards I'll even have a nice long nap!

OLIVE DRESS - GAP
BLACK VEST - CAbi (I know, I wore this one yesterday too)
FEDORA - Eugenia Kim for Target

I know a lot of people were supporting Japan with "silence" today.  I instead decided I would post and donate money to World Vision.  Or if you prefer (and you didn't give up shopping for Lent, like me), go to Forever 21 and shop your little hearts out and 100% of every dollar you spend will go to relief efforts in Japan.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

OUTFIT #4 - SAN FRANCISCO
GREEN SHIRT - Victoria's Secret (similar)
BLACK VEST - CAbi
MOTORCYCLE BOOTS - BCBGeneration (similar)

For some reason it seems so much easier to clean someone else's house rather than my own.  I have to seriously motivate myself to clean up by inviting people over (but once I get started cleaning, I become slightly insane and will end up doing it the entire day!).

Today I visited my girlfriend, Shiny, who happens to be pregnant.  She's supposed to be on "house rest" (not to be confused with "house arrest" -- though it is kinda similar) so I tried to be helpful by cleaning up and cooking her food.  She in turn let me paint my nails and took photos of me.  Thanks, Shiny!

In honor of St. Patrick's Day I of course wore green.  Because I thought I was going to go to Princess Sparkles' class and a play group (which I ended up foregoing to hang with Shiny), I wore something comfy (or as my best friend, Plaid, said, "kinda 80's").  I know I've said it before, but I love a vest!  It's perfect for hiding imperfections!

So far the clothing part of my 30 for 30 has been relatively easy (uh, yeah...cuz it's my first week!) but I know it's going to get harder as I go on.  By the end I'm gonna have to ask all of you to help me come up with more outfits, and hopefully it'll be easier for you than me, kinda like cleaning someone else's house!

PINK CUFF - Made by my Mom
NAIL POLISH - Avon in Jade

p.s. isn't that the cutest floral arrangement?  Shiny's friend made it out of carnations!

20 Minutes of Exercise

#3 - THE FRENCH RIVIERA
STRIPED SHIRT - Forever 21 (similar)
BLACK PENCIL SKIRT - Jonathan Saunders for Target (similar)
RED BELT - Forever 21
BLACK PEEP TOE  CLOGS - Forever 21 (exact)
FLOWER RING - Charlotte Russe
SILVER NECKLACE - Grandma's collection
WHITE WATCH - Sprout (exact)
Before I had kids I was an exercise fanatic.  I would go to the gym almost 5 days a week, do spinning classes, jog, etc.  Even if I was going to play league softball or volleyball, I'd still exercise that morning because those "games" were just a bonus and didn't really count.

CUT TO:  2 kids later...

It's been really tough but my exercise routine is finally picking up again (I'm not sure why people think you can get your body back after a few months post baby because I think it takes at least a year and much MUCH more than breastfeeding!).  I try to run 4-1/2 miles every Tuesday/Thursday on the beach while Pigtails naps in the stroller, and sometimes I even squeeze in a Wednesday.  I also LOVE the ON DEMAND EXERCISE VIDEOS, because I can slip in a quick 20 minutes.

I have to say the hardest exercise for me to do is the AB WORKOUT.  Partially because I wonder how much good those sit-ups will really do since I refuse to give up carbs, dessert and beer.  Secondly, I'm not sure how, but I think Pigtails always knows when I'm working my abs and she LOVES to throw herself on top of me or yank at my legs.

Anyway, I'd like to commit to working out more consistently... even if it means I mostly do those 20 minute TV workouts.  My old self might've scoffed at my current workout routine, but my new self is thrilled because every little bit helps.

Conquering My Apple

I really appreciate Pigtails' tenacity.  When she sets her mind to conquer something, she does it.  Today she took on an apple.  Not slices, but the whole fruit, peel and all.

We were at Princess Sparkles' ballet/tap class where it's always a huge challenge to entertain Pigtails for an hour, but the apple was doing a decent job.  It took the entire time and a lot of small little nibbles, but she eventually finished it.  She was very proud of herself.

WHITE RUFFLE SHIRT - Bizz (similar)
This 30 DAY REMIX is already posing a challenge (and it's only my 2nd day!).  It's not just wearing the same sets of clothes, but more the shopping fast.  I think the stores know I gave up shopping for Lent, and that's why they're sending out some of the best coupons ever.  Like this Old Navy/GAP/Banana Republic one where you can get 30% off your purchase (online code:  W8NWW3YGPJ7X).  If you use the coupon, do me a favor and let me know what you got (so I can live vicariously through you!!!).

I really want to conquer this 30 DAY REMIX and shopping fast.  If I can just take it one day at a time, I'll eventually finish the entire thing without getting overwhelmed.  Kinda like Pigtails and her apple.  Then I too can be proud of myself!

My 30 for 30 Remix Picks

Princess Sparkles has her own very unique sense of style.  She loves a skirt, glittery shoes, and anything she thinks a princess might wear.  But what I think really takes her fashion to the next level is her ability to accessorize...

The blanket or "cape," as Princess Sparkles calls it, is "just like Red Riding Hood."  The fedora, well, that's my favorite hat.  She found it in my closet.  And she added the flower to the necklace (with Daddy's help).  All of these were her ideas!

So here are the clothes I chose for my 30 DAY REMIX

I'm a total novice at this remix thing.  And being a novice, I'm sure I'm going to make plenty of mistakes.  In fact, I'm a little worried I chose too many neutrals and not enough brights.  However, I'm hoping with a little inspiration from Princess Sparkles, I can use my accessories to add more sparkle and color to my outfits!

"Shopping" Someone Else's Closet

Yesterday Princess Sparkles told my mom, Fair Isle, "We are having a bad day today."  I had to laugh, I mean, how bad can it be for a 3-year old at 10:30am?

I'll admit, I had gotten frustrated when I came out to the living room to find someone (not sure who...Princess Sparkles claims it was Pigtails, and Pigtails, well, she doesn't talk) had taken my orange nail polish and spilled it on the carpet.  Then I shut off Princess Sparkles' music in the car after she became extremely demanding.  After a long tantrum, I eventually turned it back on after she calmed down and said, "please."  And then we finally arrived at Fair Isle's house.  Thank God!

Since I gave up shopping for Lent, I decided to do some browsing in the closet of my sister, Polka Dots (Ssshhhh, don't tell her).  She shipped most of her clothes to Hawaii, but I was pleasantly surprised to find quite a few cute pieces still hanging in her closet.  Here's what I found...

BLUE SWEATER - Forever 21
EARRINGS - Vintage (from my grandma's collection)
RED BELT - Forever 21
BLACK CLOGS - Forever 21

As you can see, Polka Dots is significantly taller than I am (that blue sweater dress is really a tunic, I think and the sleeveless trench is now a midi... though that is in!).  Not sure how two sisters can be almost 5 inches apart in height, but we are.  My theory is she slept more as a kid.

Anyway, I encourage you to do some "shopping" in someone else's closet.  It's good cheap fun and they don't even have to know about it (unless, of course, you post it on your blog and they read it).  And it's the perfect way to turn a "bad day" into a good one!

TRENCH DRESS - Pikoi
BLACK BELT - New York and Co
PURSE - B. Makowsky
EARRINGS - Vintage (from my Grandma's collection)
CLOGS - Forever 21
