Shearling Moto Vest, Liz Lange Maternity Dress and...It's Too Quiet!

SILENCE.  Usually a good thing...unless you have kids.

Today I was getting a lot done around the house when suddenly I realized...it was awfully quiet.  I walked by the girls' bedroom and heard giggling and whispering.  I went in and found Pigtails' crib full of toys, pillows and clothes with the strong scent of diaper rash cream waffling through the air.  They had been playing with it and there were greasy hand and footprints everywhere.

But I have to admit, this time I got lucky.  Usually it's worse...

Here's what I found today.  Not too bad.

One of Pigtails' favorite "quiet" activities.

Today's silent "oops" by Princess Sparkles.

On a good day, this is what I'll find.
The dress I'm wearing is Liz Lange maternity thrifted by my sister, Polka Dots, in Hawaii.  I love the print and will probably keep it even after I'm no longer pregnant.  The shearling vest is from Loehmanns, an early Christmas gift from Polka Dots.  Loehmanns is the only place my sister and I went shopping on Black Friday and we got some really great buys!

SHEARLING VEST - Bernardo via Loehmanns (thanks, Polka Dots!)
MATERNITY DRESS - Liz Lange for Target (thrifted)
BRACELET - Downtown LA Fashion District
BOOTIES - Old Navy (on clearance for $6!)

My Thanksgiving Manicure:
OPI - Live From NY, It's OPI!
SALLY HANSEN - Strobe Light
Now that I'm a grown up, opening Christmas gifts is definitely not as big of a deal.  In fact, I think it's almost better to go shopping with the other person and buy you/them whatever you/they want.  It's fun and that way everyone is happy (no returns, no hassles, just no surprises).

Now I just realized...it's awfully quiet.  I better go see what the girls are up to.
Cross your fingers, hopefully it's nothing too bad...

I know EXACTLY what you mean! Especially because two of my kids are boys. Usually silence plus two young boys equals disaster. This is probably one of the best maternity looks I have ever seen. I LOVE the vest and you're right, this dress will work very well even after that beautiful little bundle makes an appearance!

haha your children are a little cheeky but I adore that about kids. They're kids! My little cousins are seemingly more boisterous than your little ones so I can relate in some little way =)

Love the animal print dress! Nice
choice, Polkadots. Yes, quiet is
not good unless you know they're
sleeping...and your girls have an
abundance of imagination.

The pictures of the girls are just too cute! Too much quiet is definitely not a good thing with children in the house, ha ha! I had the same thing happen not too long ago. Miss M decided to stencil her bedroom walls!

LOVE your dress and those boots!

Your daughters sound totally adorable. I bet they are going to grow up so close. A close, sisterly bond is the best kind.

For suck sweet looking things, kids can cause a ridiculous amount of destruction in a very short time, can't they?

no news (or in this case, noise) is bad news!! they are definitely up to something! my sister is super busy, so she often buys me my gifts like that. if we are out shopping, and i like something, she's like, "get it...i won't have time to shop later". it's good and bad...sometimes i like surprises!

the dress looks good with that vest!

and re: the ON shirt...yes, i love it! i tried to go back and get more colors, but it sold out fast!

I love Christmas shopping, but I love it more when it is not SUPER crowded! I think the best time for me is to spend time with family and go out for a nice meal. Christmas dinner tend to be rather random and it gives me a surprise!
